Who will be Eubank Jr's opponent this Saturday?

Post by black panther »

Jez Wilson has yet again been scrapped as the opponent for Eubank Jr this weekend for reasons unknown to me, with the ever dangerous TBA taking his place.

With the Saunders fight looming, who will they bring in for Eubank Jr? I'd be happy with Criag McEwan or Kerry Hope but I won't hold my breath.

well hope has moved to Australia so I doubt it will be him, probably a low risk fight, why would they risk a big fight like the saunders one?

Good point, they should bring in an easy opponent like Gennady Golovkin.

It's 1 week notice, so no amazingly enough Kerry Hope or someone of that standard won't be taking the fight.

allegedly openly stated it will be an easy nights work.

And rightly so. There's a lot at stake for a lot of people.

It's the obvious choice. He only fought a few minutes the other day so should be ready.

Yeah the fight is 6 fights down the order where the mismatches usually are, so no point moaning. I'm pretty sure everyone bar team Eubank want this fight called off alltogether.

Pryce hasn't been stopped in 5 years - that's not a bad shout at this late notice.

Would have preferred Golovkin mind. ;)

I sincerely hope it's not Concepcion. He really need to retire; getting ko'ed so much is bad for your health. :(

It will probably be an eastern european opponent who makes Eubank Jnr's opponents up to now look good! Frank said he was looking for the easiest opponent he could. Should of given Zelenoff a call.

Frank has openly said he's looking for the easiest job possible so I don't think for a minute they'd choose Bradley. More likely Dan Blackwell if a Brit and an eastern European knockover is likelier still.

hahaha well done to FWs matchmaker at first glance looks like a decent record .........but only if you only glance and dont look at the record of opponents.

At least JR vs BJS is safe.......ish

I met Wildenhof a couple of times last year and seen him box. He's usually in good shape, has a good engine and he can box but he's just too inactive. He's not the typical eastern-European journeyman I thought they'd get - I think he'll give young Chris a good fight.

anyone see that video CEJ recently posted of him proving his hands weren't a problem?

where he's basically stood in front of the not-bag-but-some-kind-of-hitting-thing-looks-like-a-fairground-test-your-power-thing? you know what I mean?

anyway i thought he looked shite. smashing away with big hooks whilst his free hand was somewhere between his waist and his nipple, and his head movement was pretty much non-existent.

The wall bag? Yeah saw that. Danny Williams looked much more impressive hitting a different variant of a wall bag :) :

Very good shout indeed. He went eleven with Ashley Theophane who almost beat Danny Garcia who knocked out Amir Khan who beat Maidana who almost beat Mayweather.

Ergo Omar Siala is as good as Floyd Mayweather. Excellent little warm-up for the future GOAT Eubank Jnr.

I would have preferred Golovkin mind, but can appreciate that Golovkin might have been a bit too easy of a bout, bit of a pointless exercise.
