who should hatton fight next??

i know there is talk of gatti but this would be a fight of no use to hatton as gatti is finished and it would be a no-win fight for hatton

personally i think he should go for cotto who is a good fighter but i think hattons pace would kill him and he would be stopped in around 8-10 rounds

other than these 2 who else should hatton fight?

Castillo is an option. Maybe even Corrales, if he somehow comes out on top in the rematch. But aside from Mayweather, Cotto is definitely the best option.

All talk seems to be on Gatti. Latest rumour is Hatton will sign up with Golden Boy Promotions, so whatever happens, I think it's safe to say Ricky's next fight will be in America.

It will be interesting to see if Gatti will be at Welter or Light Welter. I think it will be very hypocritcal of Gatti to blame weight making problems on his drab showing vs Mayweather and then fight for the Light Welter title.

Perhaps Hatton will follow Mayweather's lead and maybe the Gatti fight will be at Welter.

Gatti will get him recognison in the USA and would be a good first fight over there for him because the yanks are obsest with gatti and he will win it.

seems like bob arum is getting cotto a warm up in march and then a big fight with jose luis castillo.

hatton's options r running a little low for now. i'd like to c him fight gatti cos ya guaranteed a good dust up and an exciting hatton win.

hopefully with an impressive showing over gatti he can be fight the judah-mayweather winner for a welterweight title shot.

maybe the wbc will make hatton-gatti an eliminator at welterweight.

If he fights Gatti it will be at a catch weight which means the belts wont be on the line. Add this to the fact that Gatti is on the slide and that it will be near impossible for Hatton to do a better job on him than Mayweather and this fight is just pointless.

I'd love to see a fight with Cotto Witter or Castillo.

cotto and castillo r out of the equation cos they both have fights coming up in february and march. arum wants em to meet each other after that.

no one cares about witter over here, never mind the states.

gatti is perfect cos he comes to fight and there will be excitement for as long as it lasts.

If Hatton fought Gatti and won early then people would just say Gatti was washed up after Mayweather. If Hatton won late on people would just say he aint as good as Mayweather as i took him longer to win. Gatti is a fight Hatton would lose credibilaty on. No point in taking the fight.
In my opinion hatton should take a mandatory the chase Cotto, if need be take on Witter while he waits. May not sell in the US but would make money here in the UK

who cares about lack of credibility off boxing fans. gatti is a name and a fighter who will not lie down. hatton could earn 3m for that fight and give himself a name stateside.

Whats so cynical about saying a fight with Gatti would prove nothing? Yes it would make him money in the US yes it would be fun but will he get Gatti out of there in a more complete manner than Mayweather did? No. Therefore it proves nothing. If your trying to prove yourself the best why take on somebody whos just been demolished by somebody else at the same weight? Forget all this supposedly talk about Cotto fighting Castillo who will then take on Mayweather who then takes on Vitali Klitschko in his comeback fight. The fights for Hatton against Castillo and Cotto are there to be made and personally I'd add a Witter fight to that because I'd like to see it.

I agree with Defective; Gatti is a no win situation and a step down.
