Re: Who’s next for GGG after Rubio?
He is not exactly shy of options when you look around. Miguel Cotto and Canelo Alvarez make the most sense financially and they are both on HBO through their deals with Top Rank and GBP. But the question is will take they take the fight.
Martin Murray makes sense as K2 and Golden Gloves who promote Murray have a good relationship but it might not happen in the States because of his visa issues plus is ranked high in the sanctioning bodies and is physically much bigger than Golovkin so would be harder to break down.
I don't know why about Erislandy Lara would be a good opponent for GGG. He is an athletic and very mobile fighter and has decent pop but would have to go to fight him.

Re: Who’s next for GGG after Rubio?
I disagree about Murray, but Lara fight could be interesting if Erislandy selects the same plan as with Canelo. I am pretty sure that it wouldn't work for long.

To sum up if you think Dirrell is a tough fight for GGG...you're a tool.
Par for the course commentary from a guy who once went on a drunk tangent tirade on a message board. Let's me know what kind of individual we're dealing with here.

Yup, that's vintage Diddy. Completely fabricated bullshit from a simple little man. Par for the course from a guy who once demanded I was a European homer and went on a message board tirade because I wouldn't gamble with a stranger. Nobody cares what you think about a thing, you're just a tool that wants to drain Ward's tool.
Re: Who’s next for GGG after Rubio?
Golovkin is fighting in Monaco next and HBO said they'll go over for the night. If Murray wants it, I think it's pretty much a given now that he'll get it.IRLangmaid25 wrote:He is not exactly shy of options when you look around. Monaco is basically a home country for N'Dam. However, he may be waiting for a shot against Taylor which is not gonna happen. Anyway, both of them refused to fight Golovkin in Monaco last year, so there is no guarantee that they will fight this year. With popularity achieved by GGG in the U.S. this whole Monaco business seems to be a mistake. They are building him internationally ? Then fight Chudinov in Russia or Sturm/Abraham/Stieglitz in Germany for big money .lefty wrote:Golovkin is fighting in Monaco next and HBO said they'll go over for the night. I'm pretty sure he owes one fight a year overseas as part of his European TV contract.
Re: Who’s next for GGG after Rubio?
Oh so you didn't really go on an overnight drunken tirade where you viciously went off the deep end at numerous posters in biblical fashion? I recall you admitting to having had too many to drink that night. If that was actually done sober then there are even deeper issues there.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Yup, that's vintage Diddy. Nobody cares what I think about a thing - except you apparently since you respond to everything I say about Andre Ward or Andre Dirrell or Andre the Giant.

I have posted drunk many times, not sure what that has to do with you lying out of your ass in here. Other than the same thing that always spurs you on, if someone disagrees with you it makes you sob like a bitch.diddy wrote:Oh so you didn't really go on an overnight drunken tirade where you viciously went off the deep end at numerous posters in biblical fashion? I've only responded to your posts towards me little fella.
Re: Who’s next for GGG after Rubio?
What am I lying about? You didn't go off on a tirade last year?
I'm many things. Not a liar.
Oh you only respond to posts "toward you"? If you didn't care why would you respond to those? Pretty sure you have responded to comments I have made in general or toward others over the years. It is, after all, a public forum. Let's not pretend you're the only schmuck I talk to on here.
I assumed you were European to be misguided/biased enough to actually think Froch would beat Ward.

You keep saying I called you a tool for thinking Dirrell is a tough fight, that wasn't the case. I know you're not illiterate, you're just doing your little boy internet thing.diddy wrote:What am I lying about? You didn't go off on a tirade last year?

Yes, it's a public forum and you use it to go on and on about your beloved Ward. Saying i respond to every post you make about him is more bullshit. That's ok, i haven't been on in a while. Troll away, i'll indulge you for a bit.
Re: Who’s next for GGG after Rubio?
Well why not find a fighter who can do just that but can also take a punch (froch?)Duffus91 wrote:Why would it be? The way people have jumped on this GGG hype I'm surprised he's not been tipped to knock out Klitschko.davie wrote:A chinny fighter against Golovkin? It would be an act of sheer cruelty making that match up. Regardless of what challenges his style might present GGG.
Let's see a fighter who can throw more than one punch at a time against him and then we'll have a better idea on the guy.
GGG is accurate and an effective offensive fighter, regardless of whether he has been overhyped or not, the guy is dangerous and would find Kirklands chin at some point. I know they say styles make fights and Kirklands style of fighting may be one most suited to trouble GGG but Kirkland is a light-middlewieght who, as you said, has a questionable chin and let's be honest, just isn't in GGG's league. It's also about levels and this for me is just a suicide mission. Kirkland wouldn't see the start of round 3
I don't disagree, i'd like to see someone in against GGG who can hold him off and throw more than one punch at a time, but a chinny lightmiddlewieght ranked somewhere around 10th in the wieght division below GGG is not the man to send in against one of the worlds most feared punchers

Apparently it's probably going to be Murray if he beats Spada. If GGG beats Murray, would anyone at MW have a better record over the past 2 years?

Re: Who’s next for GGG after Rubio?
Nobody at MW has a better recent record already. Murray doesn't bring any intrigue. I would rather prefer N'Dam if big names or belt holders are not available.
Even a SMW warmup fight against Groves or DeGale would be better.

Re: Who’s next for GGG after Rubio?
Murray's a good fighter, if that's next, I wouldn't complain about it.
Honestly I always thought Floyd would go for Cotto. He already beat him, he has the WBC belt, and it would be a big match up for him in the sense of potentially winning another weight division title. So when GGG said Cotto in the post fight, I didn't really think that would happen. Admittedly I haven't been following what's supposed to actually be next for both Cotto and Floyd though. People seem to think he (Miguel) is heading back to 154, so I may well have been all wrong.

Re: Who’s next for GGG after Rubio?
Maybe Cotto doesn't want to go down to 152 ? Or maybe he thinks that Canelo is more beatable ? Besides, he may actually earn more money in the Canelo fight, as they will probably have a 50/50 split. Does anybody remember how much Cotto got in his Floyd fight ?Bobbyptsd wrote:Murray's a good fighter, if that's next, I wouldn't complain about it.
