Nice enough learning fight for Parker.....good time for him to face a proper, right-in-your-face brawler who carries a bit of a pop and has got the cojones and experience not to crumple the first time he gets cracked. He'll probably have to put Vinny down hard a couple of times to get the win.

Maddalone was gladiator-brave when he faced Fury; never going to win the fight because his defence might be politely described as 'porous' and he attacks slowly, in dead straight lines and he telegraphs most of his haymaker shots. But he'll keep Parker busy and honest for a few rounds and might land a couple of clumping punches that will make Joseph blink and think more about his own defence.

Hard not to like Maddalone; whenever he steps up his defincies are brutally and clearly exposed. But he's a properly gutsy operator and no doubt he'll be in there doing his level best to make sure one of his big hail-mary shots comes good. Fury battered him all over the shop - and he took a leathering - but he never stopped trying to make things happen.

I guess Fujimoto turned down the offer to fight Parker for the OPBF belt, smart move by the Japanese guy.
