I think Hatton's comments are more interesting though, Cotto just sounds bitter there. Although it may be that he's hoping for another Mayweather fight eventually, and needs to keep his self belief.

I dont think he's delusional, during 2007-2008 i was of the opinion Mayweather avoided him, a time i believe Cotto would have given him a better run for his money. When Mayweather did finally fight Cotto, i was off the opinion Mayweather had spotted Cotto was on the decline therefor opted to fight him. Saying he could always beat him if not for corner troubles does sound bitter though, he should be more humble about the loss.
