Ringside

Anyone see it last night? Hearn said that Callum Smith, Degale and Groves were in the studio and it got a bit tasty? I dunno if that was just his typical spiel though.

Thought Degale came out of it looking a bit of an idiot to be honest.

Have you got Sky? It's available On Demand right now, otherwise it's repeated tomorrow at 10am.

I saw most of the repeat this morning, didn't see anything particularly tasty, just the usual banter.

So what was said then and between who? Im gonna guess it was Degale and Groves seeing as they both dislike each other. Also Smith doesnt seem like the trash talking type.

Callum is probably the best of the 3 already.

I'm still a little unsure of Callum myself. He's looked good up to now against who he's been in with and he has a terrific array of punches at his disposal and his left hook to the body is particularily good but he looks a little slow on his feet to me relatively speaking compared to the other two and he has that gloves glued to his head style which im not a huge fan of. Not saying it isnt effective though.

Degale was born to be a prick. I'd love to see him fight Kovalev, almost as much as I'd like to see Broner fight Golovkin. :bag: :yay:

Thought Degale was ok, thought Groves talked some shite, still plenty of needle between the two of them. Hopefully both win a world title IBF/WBC have a unification fight next summer and hopefully in 12 months a mega fight Callum Smith to fight the winner!

Don't really know what u was watching? Degale come across really well. A few years back he would have been calling groves all sorts he just sat there answering questions and even when groves done that stupid stare he just looked at him then looked away, he even shook groves hand at the end of it so I don't know where u get he looked an idiot from?

I'm just watching ringside now. To be fair I don't think either Groves or DeGale came across as anything other than professional.

DeGale is still always gonna be a knob though. :OhYes:

Groves looks really vague lately to me, often staring into space. Never noticed that before.

I did not think so, thought he was more mature then in the past, he even shook groves hand at the end, I do think however that Groves seems to be getting more childish.

DeGale is a bit dim but I thought he came across very likeable, give credit where it was due and he does look like he's learnt a lot since the groves fight. Groves was very arrogant and delusional as usual

degale always come across as a big headed fool on tv. so does carl but a least he has record and history behind him. and groves became so little brother annoying during the froch saga. think that is why people find antony Joshua and Luke Campbell so refreshing no big mouth disrespecting from then

I was thinking that watching him in the studio for Golovkin last week but put it down to tiredness, it being 4am. Hope it's just that rather than the Froch ko and subsequent harder than it should have been Rebresse fight.
