I should imagine they have worked on his foot speed or he may well be boxed to death by stalker.
Like the way he doesn't waste many shots though and looks to throw some wicked hooks to either side of the body.
Jacks being labelled as the puncher/brawler here but the kid can box make no mistake.

Yeah he seems pretty measured and that knockout against (ive forgotten his name lol) was brutal.
Khan wanted Catterall as his spar in America ahead of Collazo.
He's been in camp doing round after round with Joan Guzman and Argenis Mendez. Sparred Kell Brook and dozens of rounds with fellow southpaw Jamie Cox, who's a bit of a puncher and much bigger.
Those picking stalker easy, must be Liverpudlians , because victory is nowhere near assured in this one - which makes it so interesting.

He's def highly regarded and they have invested time and £££ in him.

I think we have seen Stalker at his near best.....I think we have seen nowhere near Jacks best yet.
Pretty confident that we will see him shine tomorrow.

I am sure I read somewhere from catteral's team that stalker was going to get schooled, some confidence there.
Great match but I'm confident that Catteral will win this. Stalker will need to up his game considerably to do enough. Jack has a good team behind him and I've been underwhelmed by Tom as a pro.

In some ways I admire it a little more when a light hitting boxer does well, it shows their mastery of the art; saying that I like to watch the hitters.

Seriously though, nothing winds me up more than when an armchair fan levels unfair criticism at a professional, particularly when it comes to boxing. I felt a bit embarrassed about it, so an apology was definitely due (especially when Stalker seems like such a sound guy anyway). Still think he'll lose tonight mind you, but it's nothing personal, just think Catterall will grind him down.

This might be worth a thought. Stalker and Catterall are both southpaws. Stalker will have faced many top southpaws in his international career as many top international amateur boxers are southpaws. It can sometimes unsettle a southpaw when they face one of their own evil brethren.
I think Stalker may adapt to this better given his experience. It looks as though Catterall carries the power but again Stalker will have met some bangers over his long amateur career.
If Stalker can show he has adapted to the pros stamina wise, I think he wins this.
Beard is a studious trainer and when I interviewed them both a few weeks ago they said they'd wipe him out, no points win.
How did it fair? I'm away and haven't watched it.
Stalker down in first and second, came back into it over the next few rounds as Catterall kept his hands at home a bit too often, then had a better 8th round and landed a beauty of the left hand towards the end, rocked Stalker, followed up on the ropes, towel came in as the ref stopped it. Catterall's timing was excellent, couldn't miss with the jab and straight left and he was happy to stand in the middle of the ring and box with Stalker and more than held his own. At 21 Catterall is a fantastic prospect, as long as they don't rush him he's got a big future ahead of him.
