Campbell v Coyle is a horrible mismatch. Fortunately Campbell more boxer than beast, but there is no way in hell that Coyle even keeps it close. He's a brave kid and has talent, but he's just not on the same level, it's a cynical money maker....

OK, horrible mismatch is probably a bit strong, but I dont think it's a step up. It's a passable learning fight for Campbell, but Coyle provides no real threat - however if they werent both from Hull it wouldnt be happening and it's the fact that it's being built up as some kind of 'event' (and therefore by default a fight that either could win) that gets my goat.

Not sure where all this talk of mismatch is coming from? Coyle is a good pro with a lot more experience than Campbell. Also higher in the British rankings. Campbell would be favourite, but I dont think it would be a walk in the park for him. If Campbell was fighting Matthews, Cardle or Flanagan next they would be good fights for him, but Coyle would also have a good shot at any of those guys-he was giving Mathews a beating until he walked onto a shot.

They are both up in the ratings so a fight between them would be a possibility regardless of the Hull connection.

I know people will say that was an early one but he did look very unsteady on his legs to me and had he been allowed to go on he really could have taken some shots.

I cant see many people arguing that Katsidis should have been allowed to continue,it was as correct a stoppage as possible,stunning left hand from Coyle,he'll probably never land a more flush shot the rest of his career

You gotta feel for Katsidis,its never nice seeing a warrior,shot and gettng blitzed early but hopefully he'll never fight again


Campbell was very impressive too and to get Brizuela outta there in 5 is good work indeed,i thought Brizuela could have continued personally but there wasnt many complaints so i suppose the ref was right
