Shhhh.
Re: The Official boxrec Liverpool bill chat thread
Butler keeps rocking opponent just as bell is about to sound. Begs the question why doesn't he do it a bit earlier in the round? Tough opponent though...

Yes, but for me, a very poor performance, he's boxing well and he's clearly comfortable, but he shouldn't be sitting on the ropes or heading into the 7th round against an opponent like this, should have been over well before now.Naandrew wrote:Not watching butler is he winning easy ??

But Khalid Yafai is 12-0 and the holder of the vacant IBF Inter-Continental super flyweight titlejameswilson wrote:If Kal Yafai fought this bloke he would be crucified.Neil Gee wrote:Tough opponent though...

Winning every round but it looks like he's going to have to go the distance.Naandrew wrote:Just checked this how's Paul doing ?
Re: The Official boxrec Liverpool bill chat thread
This is 45 minutes I'll never get back, Butler needs to learn how to put pressure on an opponent and when he gets them on the ropes, get in close instead of standing off and giving them the room to get out of there.
Re: The Official boxrec Liverpool bill chat thread
From what I've read Dinsdale is relatively untried but there's a "feeling" about him.
Re: The Official boxrec Liverpool bill chat thread
The most recent feeling for him was that of Mathews' left hook clacking off the side of his headNeil Gee wrote:From what I've read Dinsdale is relatively untried but there's a "feeling" about him.

Well said. Mathews is by no means finished.Baboon wrote:The most recent feeling for him was that of Mathews' left hook clacking off the side of his headNeil Gee wrote:From what I've read Dinsdale is relatively untried but there's a "feeling" about him.. Brave lad making it to the end of round 2.
Come on Stephen Ormond (who has beaten them both, so why have i never heard of him?)

Don't really understand why Alan Smith keeps telling Dingsdale to have a walk when he's a million miles behind on the cards

Well that card was pretty pish IMO,Catterall's win over Stalker was great and Satchell beating Yanchy for the European Flyweight title was competitive,i had Kevin winning 115-113,Butler shut out Garnica IMO hopefully Paul gets Tete over for the IBF Super Flyweight title early in the new year
Good win for Mathews but the apart from the KD's the fight was a bit meh
I'd like to see Smith fight Jack Culcay for the Euro

When it was originally announced it was a great show, then a couple of fights fell through, but it was still a decent show, that turned out to be shite.handsofstone wrote:Well that card was pretty pish IMO,Catterall's win over Stalker was great and Satchell beating Yanchy for the European Flyweight title was competitive,i had Kevin winning 115-113,Butler shut out Garnica IMO hopefully Paul gets Tete over for the IBF Super Flyweight title early in the new year

Liam Williams looked alright, took a few too much many punches in return, before a weird knockout, definitely not ready for Liam Smith yet, hopefully he gets a decent opponent for the Commonwealth title fight in December.
Satchell-Yanchy was ok, but neither man carried any power and it seemed to be a battle of workrate rather than skill for most of the fight, if Paddy Barnes turned pro tomorrow he'd beat both on debut IMO.
Stalker-Catterall was a good fight, really impressed by Catterall's timing, feel for Stalker but I'm not sure if he's cut out for the professional ranks.
Eubank Jr had the usual knockover job, all a bit bizarre with that lot, at least he came through unscathed.
Liam Smith did as expected and demolished Sera, but picked up a cut in the process, the fight was a waste of time but the belt gives him a world ranking.
Butler went the full 10 rounds with a kid that shouldn't have lasted 3, he boxes well on the front and back foot, footwork's excellent and he's great defensively against the ropes, but because he uses his feet to spring in and out of range, the minute Garnica got his back on the ropes all he had to do was throw a couple of punches and he had a route out of there and the fight got duller and duller as it went on, another fight that was a waste of time, bar keeping Butler busy, but he will have to improve a lot to beat Tete, last night was the worst performance I've seen from him.
Derry's fight was dull, couldn't get him out of there in the 2nd, Dingsdale spent the rest of the fight predominantly on the back foot and Derry didn't get drawn in and boxed his way through it, at this stage he's too wily to be drawn into a war. Another fight that seemed pointless apart from the world ranking the WBA trinket gives him.
The show could have been a lot better if the running order wasn't shite, the last 4 fights were a real drag to get through, if Satchell-Yanchy and Stalker-Catterall had been moved up to the top of the bill it would have made the show a lot more watchable.

There was a cracker on after the allegedly broadcast. Matty Fagan lost in a real ding dong battle.
