Hall Vs. Caballero - Home advantage?

I remember a big thing being made about home advantage when it was announced that Hobson had won the purse bids for Hall Vs. Caballero. Fans were slating Matchroom for not gaining home advantage for many of their fighters in world title fights and they were praising Hobson for putting up a lot of money to stage this fight. It was rumoured to be happening in Sheffield on the 18th of October but then was changed to the Monte Carlo show.

I'm sure we'd all agree that it was a great scrap and Stuey fought out of his skin (again.) It was a much closer fight than we had all anticipated and it seems like the general consensus is that Caballero nicked it by a few rounds (much closer than the 118-110 scorecard from one of the judges.) Both men come out of it with their stock raised.

My question is: do you think the crowd could have given Hall that extra 10% needed to win the close rounds if the fight had happened over here? I know Hall's not a massive ticket seller and the arena wouldn't have been sold out but I was at the Malinga fight and the Butler fight and he does have a rowdy bunch of supporters. I'd say it would have made a difference and I'm disappointed it wasn't over here.

Dunno. Home advantage is as home advantage does. Maybe he'd've got looked more kindly on by the judges, but how could you ask the bloke to "give more" when he literally left every fvcking calorie he could in that ring?

I think you're asking too much, imo. I've never seen Hall fight better. Still wasn't quite enough.

Would have made no difference to what happened in the ring. May have made the cards closer. Tho i await nicks objective input on the subject
