Does Ronnie Davies have any Self Respect?

Post by thepocketrocket »

I understand that the pair of goons are trying to create 'Brand Eubank', but my god, Ronnie Davies is just being made to look like the Eubank's b*itch.

He is coming across like a man who they have no respect for, and you would think if he had a jot of self respect he would ask not to come across as their cretin servant.

It's a shame he allows himself to be messed around like that; the Eubanks must have confidence in his training and tactical ability, they maybe give and show him more respect when the cameras are not there.

(It'd do my head in though).

I'm sure he's being paid well and training a Eubank isn't bad for your CV. Small price for what he's doing.

Off the top of my head I remember him being involved with Howard Eastman (briefly), Tony Oakey (I think) and Neil Linford.

Both Ronnie and Chris snr Got in the ring during the minute break; a Board official told Chris only one person was allowed in the ring so Ronnie got out and left Chris in the ring. As before; it is all an act; in reality Chris snr should have been made to leave as he is not a licensed second.

Will be interesting if Chris Snr does this standing
In the ring looking at his son stuff for the Saunders fight...Surley in such a
Major fight he will fall back and either be a proper 2nd or better still stay at ringside.

As for Ronnie he knew what he was signing up for with Jnr after all those years together with Snr so no I don't feel for him even if he was bothered
about the behavior.

when eubanks sr was fighting i remember eubanks walking around the ring at the end of rounds rather than sitting down and taking his 60 second rest but when he was behind davies would get him back right away and slap him round the face to wake him up . i guess at the momenr eubanks jr can get away with his dad in the ring but if the fight i close ronnie will jump in and give him a bollocking

I remember in interview a few years ago where Eubank said that Davies wasn't really his trainer int the traditional sense and that it was he himself who decided what training he would do and when and how Etc etc

Thanks for that mate. He seems a good trainer, esp psychologically. Always surprised he didn't get more clients

he also trained Mathew Ellis according to box rec.
I can't believe people are being so unpleasant about Davies he has proved his worth as a trainer and is apparently very close to Eubank senior and Eubank jr always looks very well prepared.

Be good to see you head south Billy and see you back in with some contenders. You got any prospects coming through?

Forgot to ask, did you vote for independence Billy?

Bit over the top there, looks like you have something in common with the Eubanks.

If you read Chris Eubank's book he has immense respect for Ronnie Davis and picked him to coach him when he came back from the states as he could be trusted not to rip him off and become a groupie. He sounds like a real old school trainer and man with integrity.

A sign of his respect for Davis was making him trainer to his son, so don't be fooled by him stepping out the ring and being treated badly - far from it. He's one of only a couple of people Eubank trusts, it is simply an act to stir up division as its division amongst the fans that sells tickets and makes a name.

Junior said after his fight on Saturday that from now on all of his workouts and sparring will be open to the media so I hope we'll see some good coverage on allegedly and I'm sure you'll see Davis come to fore more.
