If I had any concerns re. Thomas moving up to title contention it would be a lack of power, very well schooled top amateur, got some balls and a good ring generalship but does he have enough pop?

He is not a big puncher but is gradually planting his feet a bit more. He has amateur wins over Callum Smith and Anthony Fowler. His lack of firepower is the question constantly hanging over him. Good prospect nevertheless.

I think the knockouts will come as the opposition and rounds are stepped up. ive seen most his fights and he tends to outclass his opponents early and they have covered up and been negative, leaving it hard to find the knockout. and to be fair some of these journeyman you can hit them with a sledge hammer and they smile back at you

yup, the only concern being, we were saying that about Frankie too. Langfords got a different style to Gavin but he's also higher in weight and the higher you go, the more the lack of a big punch might hold you back

obviously, reserving judgement and hoping the concerns are unnecessary. I remember being very very impressed with his wide array of skills on debut
