Will Witter end up fighting for the Vacant WBC title?

Post by Max Molyneux »

Well seems that Floyd's fighting Judah, so who could he fight for it if Branco keeps pulling out?

If he wins it though we would get Hatton Vs Witter since Hatton wants all the titles too. :TU:

I wouldn't be suprised if they tried to bump Castillo/Corrales/Zoo/Gatti into the positions to fight for the title - as they're big money makers. Lets hope Witter gets his shot -hes waited long enough

Witter can hardly scrape by Colin Lynes FFS. Not a forgone conclusion, I don't think Witter has the power/stamina to dominate and KO Gatti by 5 rounds, after that he'll be f'd. I think Gatti wins this one, unless he really is badly weight drained.

witter does deserve some sort of title shot and let's hope branco turns up this time.

i hate both of these guys so a draw would be a good laugh.

.

I used to think Witter was going places but as Stu rightly states he did look pants against Lynes & also before against Kotelnik & N'Dou (though he did start bright & dominated early)

To me even a fight with Branco is not a forgone conclusion, if Branco is a good technical boxer i think he could maybe outpoint Witter over 12.

I've changed my mind from about a year ago i dont think Witter is capable of being with the elite of the division.

The only thing that gives me any hope on Witter is that he did win all his fights this year (2005) & he deserved to win even though he performed bad, lets just hope Witter has saved his better performances for when the big fights come.

It may seem abit negative on Witter but he's gotta walk the walk if he talks the talk.

Gatti is moving to 147 now -- I have doubts that he'll go back down.

I agree, I think Witter is over rated now and elite fighters will beat him but i can't knock Witter too much if he is still winning. Hopefully we can see a Hatton-Witter unification bout, but as mentioned before the fight with Branco is certainly not a forgone conclusion

Think witter has been poor in some outings but even when poor he felled N'dou which others haven't been able to do. He has now had 12 round fights which he needed and unlike eastman who just waited for the shot at the top he has fought the best.
