'The Tease' was a pr1ck with a chin made of china. How we chuckled when Ibbo pasted him.

We're allowed to talk about your mates on a boxing forum you know.

I met Daniel Teasdale once and he seemed nice and polite, but if you are going to tell any teenage boy he is going
to be the best in the world at (fill blank) then the chances are he is going to turn into a bit of a twat. It will go to
his head and he will believe it before actually achieving it. I would have been the same at his age and I am a nice person, psychology

The thread was about Daniel.
Everyone had high hopes for Daniel - he was so light on his feet and a great mover so made for the Ingles.
Not everyone makes it a fact of life.
I'm sure there's a Daniel in most gyms but for some reason Wincobank always seems to be the focus.
He's 32 now still in the Rotherham area and doing ok.

Think he was about 12 here.
Good point on number 1. But I think it's fair to say winning Junior titles against people no more or less than 12 months from you, whilst impressive, do not give an adequate barometer for fighting big strong men in a 20 year is so age bracket.

And Daniel Teasmade (gets Ko'd quicker than it takes to boil a cup of tea) got found out in decisive fashion by Ibbo, the first real man he boxed.

Agreed?

Ps at the time I had really hope Daniel would be the real deal, but felt truly lied to.
PPS I liked his hairstyle mind

At the time, Teasdale was following in the footsteps of Hamed and Rhodes (and leading the way for Kell Brook) by winning national title after title. At 18 he was taken away from the gym he'd been at since 6 and that's where the story really ended.

But if those with agendas want to make something of it.....

There are plenty of promising sportsmen that for one reason or another don't get where they could or should.

Didn't I read somewhere that Martin Concepción knocked out Teasdale as an amateur? Martin could really punch though so it's no disgrace.

You're right Pugilist.
The decision to leave with hindsight was a bad move.
His career whilst brief wasn't short of headlines.
Remember his debut at Magna declared a no contest when everything just kicked off in the crowd.
Ibbo was / is a very strong lad and Danny found out only 47 seconds in.
9 years ago that - bloody hell feel old.
He couldnt half tap dance as well !

I always found Daniel to be a nice lad. As mentioned in the above posts, I think it was a great pity that he left the Ingle gym. I remember thinking that at the time.

After leaving the Ingle gym he still had some amateur fights in and around Sheffield, I saw some of them and he boxed in a much more reckless style than he did before. He seemed a bit lost, and although he got stopped quickly against Jon Ibbotson, that was more to do with him rushing out, chin sky high, than lack of ability. Also, Jon Ibbotson can punch, is a big lad and had success at cruiserweight.

You don't win as many titles that Daniel did without having some talent.

I hope he is doing well, in whatever field that he is working in.

Hi matey! :TU:

In all seriousness I heard that story before he got chinned by Ibbo, so I wasn't surprised. Never saw it myself so it's second hand info, but the source is credible (just don't want to be a gobshite and name it, even if it was over ten years ago)

Hope your well fella

I'm good mate - I know you wouldn't put anything without some sort of validation.
