Alexander Leapai vs. Malik Scott
A relative of Alex Leapai is providing updates on his twitter here:
https://twitter.com/Scott_Leapai
Australia's top boxing journalist Grantlee Kieza is providing detailed updates on his twitter. Here it is:
https://twitter.com/GrantleeKieza
The undercard is nearly over now, the main event shouldn't be too long, probably less than an hour.

I'm watching Billy Dib at the moment - I assumed Scott-Leapai was after it! What is going on? Dib isn't even scheduled to fight so I don't know what card it is lol.

Thanks big time for the info. If the Wilder-Scott fight was legit, I think it was, others disagree, it makes Wilder look better. We shall see IF Stiverne-Wilder ever happens.

Untested & undefined as Wilder is, vast interplanetary gulfs exist between the likelihood of what he is & Alex Fuckin' Leapai.Tony1244 wrote:Thanks big time for the info. A) That Wilder right hand did not land on Scott.
B) Did Scott fight in an impressive way versus Dereck Chisora, where he basically covered up all night & then capitulated in a sorry way from a nothing shot from a non-puncher?
C) Didn't Scott manage to draw with Glazkov? Which suggests again that if you can't hurt him & get him out of his comfort zone, he has ability. He isn't known as a top-class sparring partner for fvck all.
& lastly & most importantly:
D) Leapai is fuckin' bollocks. This is a man who was stopped by Kevin fuckin' Johnson. Kevin Johnson. Kevin Johnson.
Again, just in case you missed it:
Leapai was stopped by Kevin Johnson. Stopped. FFS.

Re: Alexander Leapai vs. Malik Scott
Would like to hear from the blokes that could actually "see" the fight. But, sounded like the two big guys really banged one out. No messing about just a good fight. Not sure if this is a barometer for Klitschko v Wilder but at least we know that Leapai and Scott still have their pride and hearts intact. Well done lads!Tony1244 wrote:Thanks big time for the info. Leapai beating Johnson surprised a lot of people. Johnson is sporadic. Leapai is very limited to put it politely, but a lot of people picked him over Kingpin.
It really annoys me the date/place of Stiverne-Wilder has not been set as far as I know. If Wilder gets destroyed I'll humbly say another one bites the dust. But I really want to see that fight. It will answer a lot of questions.

Leapai lost to Kevin Johnson, by stoppage. I have no idea why you hold Leapai in such high regard. It's very confusing.

Maybe we're having a language barrier. Writing "Leapai is very limited to put it politely,..." and writing "Leapai beating Johnson surprised a lot of people." is NOT holding him in high regard. I hold Leapai in very "low" regard, even though he seems like a nice guy and can punch a little.

Hokay, apologies, but "Leapai beating Johnson surprised a lot of people" indicates that you seem to think that on the occasion that Leapai fought Johnson, Leapai emerged victorious.Tony1244 wrote:

He did not. If I say "Tyson beating Douglas didn't surprise anyone" it indicates, er, that Tyson defeated Douglas. He did not.
I don't mean to be arsey, but you keep writing that "Leapai defeated Johnson, a surprising result to many". That's what the sentence you posted & have reposted means. Hence my confusion, because here on Earth-1, Johnson beating Leapai surprised a lot of people, except it didn't, because Leapai's always been shit.
Johnson stopping Leapai surprised a lot of people, maybe, 'cos Johnson is a passive jab & grabber. But that is not what you keep writing.

My apologies for my brain fart. Coffee hasn't hit my brain yet. Johnson won. Me was wrong. I think they both suck. Leapai because he can't box, and Johnson because he doesn't want to.

Mate, ever so sorry if I seemed rude or dogmatic, I'm skiving when I should be working & sometimes my antipathy towards earning a living leaks into my leisure activities. Apologies if I was rude.
& that last sentence perfectly sums up Johnson & Leapai! Couildn't have put it better myself, mate.
Re: Alexander Leapai vs. Malik Scott
We're good. I do the same thing. Some people can be nasty online and sometimes I jump the gun first. I was pretty obnoxious myself on the language barrier thing. We both agree that Leapai sucks, but the clip of the Leapai-Travis Walker fight is quite entertaining. I put Leapai in the Ding-a-ling Wilson category.Datsue wrote:Tony1244 wrote:
