i can actually see Clev stopping him this time the more it gets closer

Catching him with a quick combo and wobbling him / puttting him down
then the follow up barrage and the ref stops the fight

Bellew came across poor last night , refusing to answer questions and buttting in evertime clev was talking

Celv seems very cool and confident , he always closes his eyes a bit though when talking ( in a Danny Dyer style serious mode )

it is actually shaping up a decent bill but im out that night so wont be purchasing.

Eddie's comments 'Giving the British boxing public the fight that they all want to see' or words along that path.

No Eddie, you are hyping a domestic level clash, filled out with paper thin under-card bouts and trying to sell it off as 'The biggest fight in the division' and 'The world is waiting for the result of this massive fight' and not forgetting 'Every champion in the division will be wanting to fight the winner'... At least Dick Turpin wore a mask.
Pretty spot on. Everyone knows both hate each other, why force it. I'd hate to see what its going to be like when Groves and DeGale fight each other again.

The winner will have to travel to Germany to get a title shot, especially against Huck. Huck is in the Abraham category, you will need a massive purse to get him over. Also, champs will want to fight them only because its a higher profile challenge than most because there is a Brit involved.

It's just to build the fight, the two are not malicious, hateful types and Belles is too intelligent to brood over what another boxer says about him. Hyping the bout will see both get better paid, I'd slate my best mate if I were in that position and no doubt when the money's in the bank the two will find something to laugh about.

I like both Bellew and Clev, opposite ends of the personality scale but neither offend me. People are too quick to jump on certain boxer's personalities. I dislike boxer's personalities for being wife beaters (Floyd) or ridiculously disrespectful and brash (Broner). I don't slate fighters like Bellew and Froch for making the odd ludicrous statement, they do get punched in the head for a living after all!

Cleverly came across on Ringside as being quite relaxed, a bit nervous but he did have about 30 strangers staring at him in that small space. Maybe it was more to do with being embarrassed about Bellew's over-the-top behaviour(which seems to be his persona once a fight gets close).

Back to where the winner actually goes... Just looking at the BM world cruiserweight rankings and I don't think Bellew would beat anyone in it bar Cleverly on a bad night -

1. Marco Huck (WBO)
2. YP Hernandez (IBF)
3. Grigory Drodz (WBC)
4. Denis Lebedev (WBA)
5. Ola Afolabi
6. Krysztof Wlodarczyk
7. Thabiso Mchunu
8. Tony Bellew
9. Nathan Cleverly
10. Ilunga Makabu

If Cleverly does win a decision against Bellew, he'd probably not fair much better but may be able to decision a battle-worn Wlodarczyk before being KO'd by most of the others.

Can anyone actually seeing Clev/Bellew travelling to face Huck, Hernandez, Drodz or Lebedev? They'd probably wait until one becomes vacant, which may happen with Huck(not checked rankings).

Might seem strange but if Afolabi manages to take IBF Hernandez's title when they meet, big if, he'd be a perfect opponent for the winner but then again, that would probably be PPV and cost us about 80 quid.

Just comes across as rude and constanly contradicting himself all the time. Butting in and giving it the "pipe down son, pipe down" everytime Cleverley was trying to make a comment.

Then when the guy gave his opinion on the personality types Bellew could not handle the truth. He comes across like a school bully and a petulant kid.

Too intelligent
Used to think Bellew was switched on, his commentary isn't bad, but the more interviews i see of him, the more i think he just isn't very sharp - he goes off on tangents, usually fails to get his point across and often ends up arguing with himself.

I thought Cleverly came across very well as ever. Answered everything honestly, sensibly & respectfully.

Bellew came across like an 11 year old with an attitude.

It's all a load of old hat, you know Bellew cannot back his mouth up in the ring and I expect Cleverley to school him in a boring match to win the 9th best Cruiserweight Champion title and belt. If boxing fans can't be bothered with the fight how are you going to get anyone else interested ?

Has anyone heard of the PPV Peep-hole cam(PPV PH Cam for short) that Sky/Matchroom are launching on the night of the Clev v Bellew PPV?? You pay a fiver plus a one time sign up fee of £4.99(annually) and get to see the fight through a peep-hole at the back of the arena.

The view is supposed to be amazing unless some guy with a fat arse stands in front of it but by all accounts, Eddie will have that covered, son. Get your good eyeball ready, gentlemen!

Good old Boomer.

He probably justifies his behaviour with the old "it puts food on the table for the kids" but I would rather have my dignity than a few extra quid.

I hope that Clev wins, partly because if Bellew wins then TOWIE Eddie will try to sell a third fight as the decider that the British public wants to see, and I can't go through another round of these interviews !! ....

Bellew just comes out with stock phrases sometimes. He's just so unlikeable on things like Ringside. Funny how he criticised Cleverly for his celebrations when Nathan beat him, bit hypocritcal given some of his celebrations after beating low level opponents. I thing I agree with him on though was that he was absolutely dead at the weight at LH, the old footage of him showed how skeletal he looked.

Cleverly should up the ante a bit and start picking on Bellews moobs or something, that would make it interesting.

Come on Sky though, talk about oversell, they packed out the ringside set with more people for this then they did for SRL, Holyfield, Calzaghe etc. Bet everyone in Sky got an email aksing them to be there for filming!

This bill is genuinely laughable as a PPV. Shocking in fact, just a load of one siders and a domestic tussle as the main event. It just makes me laugh when Hearn goes "And DeGale v Periban is a cracking fight against a dangerous opponent" (or something along those lines) - what a load of trash. That fight is the equivilant of when Hatton was scheduled to fight Mesquita, just an average fighter that no one had heard of before.

Worryingly, Campbell-Coyle is pencilled in for May 30th, the same weekend used for PPV the last two years.

It's an interesting point re Bellew's body shape - as you point out, he looked almost skeletal at times at LH, but looks chubby at CW. For that reason, I wouldn't read anything into how he looks come fight night - some guys are just not blessed with ripped physiques no matter what shape they turn up in.

Interesting Adam Smith saying there were 2 world title contests on the bill, spurious titles at best but shows how desperate they are to big this PPV up

Me too, but I don't care enough to pay to watch it. There's hatred and wanting to see someone lose, and then there hatred that you just wish the guy would shut up and/or go away. Bellew's the latter.

It's mostly the fact Bellew's jokes get laughed at by the Liverpool journalists that gets me. At the last post fight press conference this exchange took place.

'Why do you dislike him so much?'
'Because he's a wanker.'
*everyone roars with laughter*

I just sit there thinking how the hell is that amusing to anyone over the age of 5?
