0:58 * The ringside doctor is dabbing at the blood, trying to determine the severity of the wound. He's saying something to the referee and from the reaction of Nelson, it must be positive. 1:15 * Battling Nelson's pawing at his eye and there may be some blood trickling into that eye from the cut above it. The referee must have noticed because we have a stop in the action as Florian motions toward the ringside physician. They're going to take a close look at the cut. 0:17
1:19 * Referee Florian is stopping this fight. * That's it folks. The gash over Nelson's eye is too bad for him to continue. This fight is over. Whitaker is the winner via TKO! 0:17

Re: LTW Season Week #2 fights 31-34
Battling Nell's Son, is going to make excuses that he was "over trained".
So it's good that they are scheduled to dance again next week.
And it's a damn good thing for Joe Gans that Tomasino couldn't go with the 40 rounder...if they would have seen round 13 Poor Gans would be gone.
As it is, it's the first big robbery of the year, and GBP is proud to have knocked Joe down, beat him ruthlessly and probably ruined him for the season.
They go again.....and I'm afraid Joe will be down for the count in less than 12, as JLC picks up where he left off.
Tomasino, you got one win for the record, but you and I know who won that fight. Be sure to put an asterisk on your "WiN" and explain that last round to the public.

Re: LTW Season Week #2 fights 31-34
The last round needs no explanation, the previous 11 tell the whole story. Another victory for the Old Master. Joe was playing possum in that last round, it's over in 6 in the decider.
As for Lil Pete, he got lucky. It's curtains for him next week. I only ask that Steve Smoger be referee...
