I remember him from the amateurs and when he was pro. He's from Atlantic City. I doubt he was some kind of survivalist unless you mean surviving living in Atlantic City which can be quite dicey in certain parts.

I'm not sure what he was but he was something. I know that makes no sense whatsoever but I just remember reading he was into something extreme.
