That's a hard fight for Darren, if he uses his skills he will win but he gets into a war he's im trouble as Rogowski is a big hitter, also like the look of pagan and warburton,

Matty had a serious knee injury last year and although it was operated on the Dr missed a loose bit of cartilage. During training for this show the piece got stuck in his knee and he had scans that alerted the Dr's to this. He has had keyhole surgery and will be back out early 2015 hopefully for the Scottish title!!

This show has been a pain to set up!! First Matty was injured then David Savage got cut in a warm up fight that never healed!! Next it was Scott Ross teh Light Middleweight from Inverness and our 4th bout that pulled out!! Then the replacement opponent for David Savage, Michael Rambaletsa pulled out Monday!! But to be fair Rogowski is a tough fight and he stopped an undefeated Super Featherweight last time out.

I just want a win mate, the guy is the same size, is a southpaw so it will get Ronnie used to someone of Craig Evans dimensions. He was already on this bill and sold tickets before the Evans fight was agreed and you know Ronnie he just wants to fight as much as possible anyway!!

Great fight this for Ronnie as Craig Evans is well spoke about in Wales as the next big prospect Ronnie has been very unlucky in his career so far with a couple of dodgy decisions not going his way on away turf so hopefully this is the fight that will propel Ronnie on to bigger and better things.

decent show last night,great crowd and atmosphere up there as well,beach ballroom is a great venue for the boxing,roll on the next one

Results
Marek Laesowski v Dan Carr.. marek wins on points 40-36 had Dan hurt a few times in this fight. I have seen Marek fight and spar Over last couple years and he is really improving.

Rhys Pagan v Willian Wharburton.. After Rhys's loss to Mikey Towell this was a potential banana skin. Wharburton as usual came to fight but Rhys was a lot more skillful and deserved to run out 40-36 winner

Ronnie "The Shark" Clark v Janis Puskins... What a performance from Ronnie.. After the disappointment of the close fight with Troy James. Ronnie was on his game from the first bell throwing more punches than normal and connecting and hurting Puskins with every shot.. What a tough guy the Latvian is.. Ronnie was clinical in the the 3rd round. Puskins stopped 3rd round in no position to continue.. What an atmosphere the roof was raised.. The noise and songs got the Ballroom jumping and was perfect preparation for the main event..

Darren "Train wreck" Traynor v Krystof Rigowski... Krystof was a very decent amateur and has pulled off a few shocks already. This was a massive step up for Darren.. Darren got a great welcome from the crowd.. In his last fight here Darren got caught up early in the Atmosphere but this time was different he was more calm.. As I expected rigowski came out fast in the first causing some early problem with his aggressive style and Darren got involved a bit.. In the 2nd round the cleaner work coming from Darren.. Rigowski went over from a slip. A punch did land the ref decided to give him a count.. Next few rounds followed the same pattern Darren using his superior boxing skills while Rigowski was being rough up close and messing.. Rigowski was put down in the 6 th from a excellent combination.. At the end of the round could see he wasn't interested in coming back out..Traynor wins through retiral.. Good to see Darren at the featherweight limit.. Excellent addition in this weight hopefully see him in for the Scottish soon. Can see big things from Darren if he could stick to his boxing

Well done to Davie Mcallister on a excellent show. Aberdeen is a great place for boxing and the fans from Dundee and Aberdeen create an amazing atmosphere

Once again the atmosphere at our show was unbelievable!! The Aberdeen and Dundee fans were brilliant, made awesome noise and supported all of the home fighters with every breath they had!!

Here's how i saw the fights that i was involved with but I can't comment on the Rhys Pagan vs William Warburton fight because i never saw it.

Marek vs Dan Carr: I was really disappointed with Dan Carr, I thought he might have tried to cause the upset against Marek as his record shows he can be beat. Marek boxed well, hurt Dan Carr on a few occasions and showed some nice work when he switched between southpaw and orthodox styles. When Dan Carr did try and work it was more rushing in using his head recklessly and i'm glad he didn't cut Marek.

Ronnie vs Janis Puksins: Ronnie showed improvements with what we have been working on in the gym, he boxed well didn't get too reckless and he carried out instructions correctly. He was much looser and flowed well from the first round, he targeted Janis body and hit him some sickening body and head shots. Janis deserves credit as even when he was being pummelled he kept trying!! Spoke to Janis today and he thinks he might have a couple of either badly bruised ribs or even broken ribs. Now attentions turn to the 24th and Craig Evans.

Darren vs Krysztof Rogowski: I was so glad to get Darren through the first round without a drama!! haha Darren has been working on his defence a lot since his last fight at the Beach Ballroom and all the hard work paid off last night. Rogowski came to fight and was on a high after stopping 8-0 Liam Hanrahan in September this year, he came in swinging a big overhand right and trying to work Darren's body. We had planned for Darren to not pull back to get caught by his swings so that made the first couple of rounds look messy but I wanted Darren to take the sting out of his punches. Once darren got into his rhythm he started breaking Rogowski up with head and body shots and he cut him above both eyes with sharp straight shots!! Just need to try keep him busy now and really looking forward to getting the fight with original opponent David Savage when his cut heals.

Agree with everything in the last 2 posts, fantastic night of professional boxing. Well done to all at Granite City Promotions, no reason why there shouldn't be 3-4 shows a year in Aberdeen. Big boxing fans base up here, starved of live pro fights.

Tommy seems happy to send his fighters up on GCP shows, maybe Morrison can be approached too?

we have been unlucky with injuries to our boxers over the last 12 months but hopefully we can have at least 3 dates next year in Aberdeen!!

All of our fighters are signed with Tommy but we wouldn't have a problem using boxers from Alex Morrison/Tony Lindie/Prospect lads (We used Rhys Pagan on Saturday) or Saltire Promotions. We just want to put on good shows using Scottish boxers for the fans. Scotland is too small to not have everyone working together imo.

The Ronnie fight is made at 9st 6lb, really looking forward to that fight now and it will give Ronnie the chance to get himself back in the mix if the result goes his way!!

Glad to hear you're looking at a constant stream of shows for the Vegas of the North The fans will turn out, I've no doubt.
Once Matty is back to full fitness he's gonna want fights next year for sure. Ronnie brings fans and is the fighter in the biggest fights at the moment. Make sure Evans makes that 132 though! Darren now on the brink of a Scottish title too, so it's all good for the north east.

I know you said in the gym that there wasn't a problem mate but since then you have on more than 1 occasion posted things that are maybe to try get a rise out of his brothers or some of his fans.

Maybe it's just the way you post things but your posts sometimes come across like you are having a dig!!
