This development surely increases the chances of a Chavez Jr vs Froch fight comming off sooner rather than later? Arum, of course, disputes the legality of this, so a legal tussle is likely to ensue.

What is this Al Haymon cooking up behind the sceens, he has signed, i believe, over 120 of the sports biggest and best fighters, an unprecedented move in any sport. Is he working on some sort of masterplan, or is there nothing more to it than him being a good manager to his fighters and he's signing them up ten a penny simply because he can, and its making him good money?

Yes, I too have heard this... But do you think this will mean he will actually promote the shows on NBC or have someone else (Golden Boy) promote the fighters he manages??? AHUM!!! sorry advises lol...

I know about the Muhammed Ali act prevents someone from both managing and promoting a boxer in America, but it seems like no-one really cares when Al Haymon is involved! Maybe thats why he calls himself an advisor other than a manager, so one day he can promote those he mana... I mean advises!

I think he's aiming to become the Dana White of the boxing word if you ask me... And before anyone says a monopoly is never a good thing, well it is for the fans of UFC!!!

I have no idea what his long term plan is, the only thing I know for sure is that it will involve him making a shed load of money!
Whether or not he damages boxing in doing so, he will care not.

Very true mate. He's good at what he does now but wasn't so cocky when it was bleeding money at the start.

I think Haymon has something like the UFC in mind though. Boxing is wide open to this type of set up just now.

Dan Rafael [ESPN] has done his own count… and he believes that Al Haymon may have at least 174 men in his stable of fighters… he also thinks that he may have missed a few!

No signs of him slowing down either, he will have 200+ boxers in his stable within weeks! He must have a damn good team in place to help him manage the careers of so many fighters.
