Harrison signing with Saltire Promotions
Harrison signing with Saltire Promotions
Good signing for both parties. Saltire can give Harrison the commitment that could keep him out of trouble, good addtion to there stable and domestically still could give a lot .

So he's not going back to Spanish prison then?
Re: Harrison signing with Saltire Promotions
Good signing to raise the profile of Saltire shows in the short term assuming Harrison can keep himself out of trouble.

Re: Harrison signing with Saltire Promotions
He's currently subject to a European Arrest Warrant from the Spanish authorities and was bailed a few weeks ago after an extradition hearing. They want him out there to serve a 4 year sentence that was handed down a couple of years ago. The status of the EAW in this country is currently up in the air a bit with a vote due in parliament in the next couple of weeks on whether to opt out of it from 1st December, it's likely to stay in place, but there is the possibility that MPs vote out of it. That would push the extradition back and they would probably need to come to some sort of agreement with the Spanish authorities on an extradition treaty if one isn't already place, then put in a new request for extradition.DazDiCanio wrote:So he's not going back to Spanish prison then?
I'm not sure Scott actually has a boxing license right now, it was reinstated in August, presumably on the condition he stay out of trouble, then a day later he was up in court after being arrested for assault and will stand trial in February.

Re: Harrison signing with Saltire Promotions
I'm slightly baffled as to why the Spanish authorities seem to be so desperate over the last 8 years or so to keep Harrison on their shores to serve time - I would have thought they would be desperate to be rid of him

He must be about 46 years old now surely?
I don't want to see him back in the ring, nasty piece of work.

Cheap night out in the supermarket, all going well until the news crews turn up.

Thanks expe, i was aware of the ongoing saga but not the ins and outs. Hope he keeps busy and starts taking the sport serious again.
The Return of a Legend
Read the Daily Mail today.
I see that our old friend Scott Harrison is about to return to the ring and embarrass himself and Scotland again.
He still doesn't have the good grace to apologise for his thuggish behaviour, of course it's always someone elses fault that he beats up women, batters cops in Spain get's barred from most pubs in Glasgow has spent most of the last 8 years in prison.
Good luck Scott.

He's still a scary looking bugger. Would not want to find myself pushing in front of him in a kebab queue.

Aye, because every other working boxer has an angelic past don't they
He will still sell more tickets than most other SFWs/LWs in the country. If Mike Tyson can be forgiven a past then i'm sure little Scott Harrison can.

Re: The Return of a Legend
This can only mean disaster for thousands of innocent crisps. I hear umpteen bags of walkers are cowering in fear at the mere thought of Harrison being back back on the prowl.
Re: The Return of a Legend
Don't know why he doesn't take up body building fulltime probably do ok at it maybe better than is boxing career at this time.

Or accidentally ramming his trolley in a supermarket in the crisps aisle.forcefraser wrote:He's still a scary looking bugger. Would not want to find myself pushing in front of him in a kebab queue.
