What is the best Cardio training regime for an Ameteur Boxer
Is your opinion, what is the best cardio conditioning regime for an Open-Class Amateur Boxer fighting 3x3 Minute Rounds.
Re: What is the best Cardio training regime for an Ameteur B
really depends on the fighters body type:
long limbed and thin build -
naturally good cardio but short distance and fast runs or long distance runs help mentally so your physically ready and mentally you know you can go the full distance
stocky and short build -
mix in a tough cardio session (80-90% effort) between any strength work or build up your round times with lighter sparring to help your footwork and your overall skills (6 rounds of 2 mins or more rounds if your just hitting pads)
naturally athletic build -
if your this build no real worries about your cardio but sprint exercises help build endurance and overall speed, sprint 100 meters - jog 100 meters and repeat over a set distance aim for 1.5 miles at least (2400 meters)
otherwise my advice is trust your coach, if they are putting you in the ring they know your ready and know what it takes for you to improve because they have been training you longer
