Agreed – and I’m the worst culprit.

I’m probably feeding the trolls, but when someone pretends that Kovalev is as experienced as Hopkins, then I was compelled to respond.
Can you quote me saying that Kovalev is as experienced as Hopkins ? What I said was: "Yes, Kovalev's high level experience is jammed into a shorter period of time, he didn't have opponents of the same professional level and had far fewer title fights. However, he fought about the same number of rounds and have seen most of what Bernard have except dirty tactics."

And my point was that there isn't such huge gap in experience which could prevent Kovalev from beating Hopkins. In my opinion, the only two things which can prevent Kovalev from winning are his suspect chin or successful dirty tactics by Hopkins.

What difference does it make if Kovalev started boxing at 11 or 10 ??? You just need to treat your OCD.

‘The Alien’ first won a world title 21½ years ago and held the middleweight championship for ten years (making 21 successful defences en route to unifying all the belts), became a three-time light heavyweight titleholder (with a combined total reign of over four years) and is now trying to become the undisputed 175lb champion at 50 years of age!

Sergey Kovalev was barely 10 years old by the time Hopkins first challenged for the IBF version of the world middleweight title, which was a year before the Krusher had even started boxing!

Kovalev is afraid of men much smaller than himself. So I fail to see how he KO's Ward or Hopkins

This was a few years ago when Kovalev didn't have confidence in his abilities as a profi. Besides, I believe that Golovkin would KO Ward and Hopkins too.

I have a spare $100 ticket to Hopkins-Kovalev because my friend can't make it from Baltimore, free to any BoxRec posters. I'm over in New York from the UK and travelling down to the fight on Saturday. Can meet you there or send the ticket to you by Ticketmaster ticket transfer. PM me if you are interested.
