Damien Hooper
Just got knocked out in 21 seconds versus someone who took the fight on days notice
Re: Damien Hooper
There were warning signs, such as being dropped hard by an undersized and very limited opponent previously, but I wasn't expecting this!

Also, perhaps the commentator shouldn't repeatedly shout that someone is out cold when their eyes are open and they're in the process of sitting up under their own power.

Re: Damien Hooper
I just noticed that the guy that knocked him out (heavily aswell) has got 1 knockout in his 4 wins aswell.
Re: Damien Hooper
He had no knockouts until he met Hooperlefty wrote:I just noticed that the guy that knocked him out (heavily aswell) has got 1 knockout in his 4 wins aswell.
You could see as the Ref is giving instructions that the bloke wanted it. Hooper is gazing about like a meerkat while Powdrill was giving him daggers.
Re: Damien Hooper
He went down like he had been shot aswell lol. Going on that, he hasnt got a hope in hell against top level light heavies. You never know- it could be one of those fluke type knockouts but crusader mentioned earlier how he was knocked down by an undersized opponent before so maybe not.Taansend wrote:He had no knockouts until he met Hooperlefty wrote:I just noticed that the guy that knocked him out (heavily aswell) has got 1 knockout in his 4 wins aswell.![]()

I think it's more down to attitude rather than physical. He's been enjoying the life of a young star, getting into little troubles when out on the piss. Maybe this will be a wake up call for the lad.lefty wrote:He went down like he had been shot aswell lol. Going on that, he hasnt got a hope in hell against top level light heavies. Hooper is currently being held in custody and unlikely to be seen in a boxing ring any time soon:Taansend wrote:I think it's more down to attitude rather than physical. PROMISING Darling Downs boxer Damien Hooper is to fight an assault charge against him at a hearing before Toowoomba Magistrates Court.
Hooper, 23, is being held in custody on a parole suspension and was not in court for the brief mention of the matter.
Solicitor Divina DeLeon acting on behalf of the boxer's barrister asked for a hearing date.
The light heavyweight has not been not required to enter any pleas to the charges of assault occasioning bodily harm and contravening a domestic violence order.
He is on bail for both charges which arise from alleged incidents in Toowoomba on June 13.
Magistrate Damian Carroll set January 5 to hear the case which is expected to last one day.
