Avoided?

He's turned down several fights, including a NBC Sports fight with Vyacheslav Glazkov.

Not avoided. He fell off the radar. Think he got fight lines up again. He was supposed to fight a year ago but fell off. Just another journeyman , can't forget he lost to o mccsl.

He reminds me of Cedric Boswell calibre

Avoided? You can't be serious. The guy lost to Oliver McCall, then rebounded well with a win against a shop-worn Lance Whitaker. He got a regional WBC belt for that performance and defended it twice against journeymen Jason Estrada and Jason Gavern. After those three wins, he was in the WBC top 5 way back in 2011. He tried to parlay that into a world title chance and stayed busy fighting stiffs for a couple of years. He's been inactive since January of 2013; is now 39 years old; and the wins I mentioned above are the best wins on his resume. In addition to those four fights, he's only been in the ring with a couple of other notable fighters -- he got KO'd in 1 by Stiverne in Bermaine's 7th pro fight; he got a draw against Friday Ahunanya; and he got a draw with Wreckless Wille Chapman of all people. The comparison to Boswell is a good one -- as soon as Lawrence can cash out on his record, he will; and he will lose; and then he'll be retired.

I imagine Lawrence just estimated his worth at greater than it was, so the offers that came his way never seemed good enough. He does have his first fight in 22 months this month, though.
