I saw a fight of Heiland when the fight was first announced thought he was very limited. FairPlay to him

I thought Heiland was excellent tonight, never allowed Macklin to get on top, then Matthew's engine going early doors invited pressure and that right hook was superb

just so. I don't think anybody is the same after going in with Golovkin.

If it was a 1 off then it might be getting carried away but he looked awful last time out as well

Shame, nice lad Matthew. He looked a shadow of his former self last time out and put it down to ring-rust, he can't use that excuse for tonight. Unfortunately, he's looks shot. Nobody wants to see a bright kid like him getting bashed up, leave that for those with nothing else going for them. Onwards and upwards out of the ring is my hope for him.

Thats true but we see that with a lot of fighters producing below par performances in non title fights Murray,Burns never shine in 8 rounders but tonight it was confirmed that Macklin's missed the boat title wise

Its a shame that the Murray,Barker or Lee fights never came off(when they should have)

"He won't drop down a level". I can't stand this talk.

Normally after a loss you drop down a level or two and then build yourself back up again.

Why do they talk about it like it's humiliating or something?

Wow. Macklin is done, sadly. Shame we'll never get to see him against Andy Lee, would have been a cracking little fight imo.

What was the reasoning or is a possible hand injury that you're alluding to? Ps i cant recall him mentioning a hand injury prior to the fight though.

Interesting CP. Somone in the CS mentioned that odds shifted greatly toward Heiland at last minute too.

Not the best of nights for MGM, Seamus and Matthew then, Fitzgerald, Matthew both knocked out and now their big prospect Geraghty's been beaten. Stalker was taken out a few weeks ago as well, all of a sudden things aren't looking so sunny out in Marbella.

Gegarty was a cracking fight with Joni Carroll. Carroll got cut around the ear round 1 then forehead round 2. Gegarty was docked a point in the final round (4) and about 5 seconds later butted Carroll clear as day and ref disqualified him. Didn't go down to well with what was left of the crowd and idiots throwing digs at one another in the crowd.

I am member of a Facebook boxing betting group and this was the result they tipped for last night and worth the punt at £20 at 8/1. They thought it was a guarantee pay out and turned out to be right.

They are solid, years profit so far with them is £2312
