Post by rhino222 »

28 feb next year, 13 years since his last pro fight.

good to see him back? or just a sign of the times and a love of fighting that just wont go away?

anybody read his book? it's meant to be good isn't it? It's one thing being a rough and ready type but it's another altogether messing about in this game, at his age, after a lay off like that. Get a job or a trade.

Great book. Hardcase. Does come across as a bit of a bully/hot head in the book. The chapter that describes him getting atacked in a gym by a bunch of guys with machetes in revenge for a kidnapping is particularly brutal. Hes not a big fan of audley either. After planting the nut on him audley would let him in the changing room after the fight so dom got the hump!

He's fought unlicensed during his hiatus.

He's a heavy guy but not a big guy, that's not as contradictory as it reads. I hoped he turn over as a light-heavy as I thought he'd do some damage at 12 stone 7lbs but that obviously didn't happen. He was fleshy at the old cruiserweight. Years on, I hope he gets what he wants.

Yawnnnn   A totally shot Danny Williams mullered him! This is a joke thread surely? He was pretty below average at his peak? Good luck to him.

I was watching his fight with Gary Delaney the other night. He didn't look too tough when Gary was screwing him out before they touched gloves.

I'll probably see dom in a fortnight. Didn't see that coming.good luck too him if its true.hes a good fella is Dominic.know dom quite well and have spent a fair bit of time with him. Morally very sound.never ever come across rude or a bully.although I don't think you'd catch him being taken for a mug.done me a couple of favours.once going out of his way to wake me up in my hotel room in Scotland when I'd got completely bladdered after a fight in Scotland and sleeping through my alarm and wake up call in my room.although you really wouldn't want to upset the man.hes very good too have as a mate

Dominic is Great, a real character. Very friendly, often at York Hall doing security.

If he wants to fight it's his choice, whether or not anyone else agrees with it.

I saw a real life documentary about Dominic years ago. It was gritty.

Any info on when he got attacked in the gym? Sounds like he was very lucky to make it out alive

There was a program called Britain's hardest men or something like that, I think Danny Dyer hosted it, and there was one about Dom. That went into some detail about the gym attack and it sounded shocking. It was years ago though

Seen him a few times at The circus tavern when the lads from his gym are fighting. was nice enough to me when we spoke.

He has completely nothing to offer to professional boxing! & vice versa!
Maybe he thinks he can get some readies by facing Joshua lol! Who he couldn't even be an opponent for now.
I like negus & respect him but it's a big no no
