Frazier vs Tua

Post by abdelfadeeli »

On his best day David Tua got out jabbed by Ike Ibeabuchi, have you ever heard of Ike Ibeabuchi? Do you know anyone that does? I'm not trying to be mean here, but every time Tua comes up against real competition, aside from Ruiz and Oleg Maskaev (who was not in the greatest of shape), gets outworked. Frazier, on the other hand took Ali to the limit beat him once a case can be made he woulda won the Thrilla had his corner not quit. he doesn't have the speed to out jab Joe and he doesn't have the head movement. At. All. To avoid Joe's shots, Tua also has alwlays lacked the body conditioning to sustain a Joe Frazier attack to the body where Joe Frazier went 51 rounds with Ali over the course of his career. This isn't a fight it's Joe Frazier by utter annihilation.

Tua's chin would see him still standing at the end, but he does not belong in the ring with Joe Frazier.

Tua was far too one dimensional to be considered for fantasy match-ups with HW ATGs.

I've often thought that Tua was just the punching bag Frazier would enjoy all night long.

Frazier wins, Tua makes it to the end, And Tua is one beaten pug at fights end.

He would end up getting what Quarry was unable to endure.

Tua would be so easy for Frazier to get to, a slow squat target against whom he can fall into his incessant rhythm of hustling & hitting, that a stoppage would not surprise me. Chuvalo had one of the hardest heads we have ever seen but Frazier's swarm of hooks tore his face off.

Tua with his gluttonous appetite for fists might quickly become too deformed to continue.

Btw Tua knocked out a young skinny beardless Ruiz who I think would win a rematch . Tua is p4p one of the most over rated fighters of all time.

Frazier is a legend . He could possibly stop Tua.

Tua was the more powerful hooker, but Frazier was the smaller, but more skilled fighter. Take the Bugner fight. It was a bit of a struggle for Joe, but I would imagine Bugner could have comfortably outpointed Tua. If the Kiwi was to pull it off, it would have to be his default of a late stoppage, behind on points. I will go against the grain and suggest Frazier was a little vulnerable. Tua in 9.

I don't have to agree with Gian.....but when he's right, I might as well.
