We are consumers, so have a right to voice our opinion and demand value for money. Its not even a concept in other consumer driven environments but in sports we are somehow supposed to not have an opinion because we haven't achieved as much. Imagine applying that logic to anything else. You go buy a new Mercedes and find you can't get it out of second gear and when you take it back to the garage they looked you up and down and say "I bet you couldn't build that engine any better anyway mate, you shouldn't complain so much".... And the reality is Bellew is more Morris minor than he is Mercedes, but I still want value for money when I'm shelling out.

I have never said people shouldn't have opinions not at all, but there's a big difference between having an opinion and putting someone down when you are no where near on there level but claim you are better than them :yay:

This is a forum it's about opinions but I would never say I was more succesful and fitter than some one if I was a slob and on the dole, as I would be a hypocrite! Would I not???

Why are you so upset? Have you ever touched Tony Bellend? I bet you really want to. Shouting and sweating anytime someone has anything remotely negative to say about your hero makes you look really stupid.

So does saying Tony is 'world level'.

He got demolished when he stepped up, didn't he?
Upset????? I assure u 100% I am not upset

As for my hero no he is a close personal friend that's all, and the point here is someone saying they are fitter/more successful when they clearly are not.

Oh and I said he is world level he has had 2 world title fights, he was mandatory he earned his shot so he is obviously world level dumb ass :KO: :OhYes: your acting as tho I said he is elite level or something! So the only one who looks stupid is u obviously clown next time I suggest reading the post carefully mate    [/quote]

Always quite liked Bellew but he's come across as a right bell end in the build up to this fight and i for one hope Clev shuts him up once and for all

As for him being world class

How?

Who's he really beaten?

Been showed up as soon as he's got the chance at that level

Bellew bottled it against Stephenson. Strange as he was willing to die in the ring (believe you me) and was going to destroy the midget.

A lot of scousers remind me of the old fukcer in the Wizard of Oz. A big booming voice thinking they scare people to death with their threats and scally tactics, but behind the curtain they are just some wizened jockey.

As for success, I have been able to suck my own schlong whilst stood up since I was 14. Say what you want, but you don`t get any more successful than that.

As for Bellew i'm in 2 minds I do respect the fact he's sticking to his guns yet I think he could've handled it better.

I'm a massive fan of Bellew but he doesn't do himself no favours sprouting of at times.
Id like to know if theres any of the other faces in boxing who regularly post on here under an alias

Take Steve Lillis for instance, surely he must visit this place, and Alex Steedmen,Adam Smith,Richie Woodhall,Spencer Oliver etc all these boxing people who clearly still follow the sport, cant believe that they dont visit the best forum in the game

Yeah I reckon most are on here tbh. Hearn says he reads the forums all the time.

Does it make you gay if you can suck your own?

Nah, can't I suppose or wanking would make it the same.

Quite jealous of that though. If I had tits I would never leave the house

In the army, the best runners who could do a mile and a half BFT could do it in around 7.30 - to pass it, you needed to do a mile and a half in 10.30 so anyone who passed their BFT had to do a 7 minute mile max.

Not that I could ever fornicating do it. Not even in my so called prime.

Not sure if it makes me gay (not that there is anything wrong with that of course) however I thank the Lord every day that he gave me the flexibility to do it. Not to mention the massive schlong.

Just re-watched the Jonny met Bellew show and I forget that he was a pretty fit fella back then at Light Heavy. When he was training with Everton you can see his fitness and he had good work behind him there.

But no way is he of equal fitness now, not with that extra stone and a half on his frame, most of which will be fat. He will not have gained muscle as that is almost impossible to do naturally, not much anyway. The best gainers with the correct nutrition and training every single day without any time off couple maybe get a couple pounds per year, tops and only up to a certain point, a natural ceiling which we all have.

Bellew would have been depleting himself in camp to make 175lb and losing some muscle during the prep and final stages but not as much as assumed. But what that means is not that he will have gained muscle but he will be losing less muscle in training now. At a guess, if he is 20lb heavier I would say that is 6lb retained muscle and 15lb of gained fat which will not help his fitness at all

How do you explain Cleverly at cruiserweight then? He looks like his body fat % is low and has a decent amount of lean muscle mass and this is 25 pounds up from where he was competing! Lol. Going on what you're saying im do you think there's something a bit dodgy about that?

To be fair Bellew looked a lot more comfortable at the equivalent of Cruiserweight as an amateur (i.e. heavyweight). He had to really drain himself to get to light heavy as a pro. If anything he lost muscle and punch resistance by draining himself. He should have always started as a Cruiser.

Clev will be eating more, probably carb based at a guess and his whole body will be soaking up the nutrients and be filling out with glycogen stores and water and fat too. He may not be fat in the traditional sense but he clearly carries more bodyfat which you can see around his face, shoulders, back, chest. It is not oodles of fat, just MORE fat. He too will not be depleting himself for the final few pounds.

At a bodybuilding show I will weigh 10st 12lb as I am depleted through carb and water manipulation but a proper days food/a refeed could see me put on maybe six or seven pounds with all my tissues filling out and water retention.

Ah ok so what you're saying is that Cleverly's physique is actually a little deceptive. He's carrying more body fat than it seems.

No, I think that possibly you do not have a critical enough eye to spot it (I do not know you and apologise if that is presumptive and wrong) as he looks to have a bit more bodyfat than he used to plus is just filled out more through not having to diet down.

I work with natural bodybuilders, the best and pure elite of the UK and the world (not me, fcuk me I am far from it!!!) and they are struggling to gain more than one or two stage pounds per year and most gain exactly zero but improve body composition. So if Clev has found a way to do what nearly no bodybuilder can do and gain 10-15lb or more of muscle in a year, without using much in the way of a weight training program and also while do excessive amounts of cardio and fitness based training then I think he should sell the formula as I can promise you that everyone in my industry would pay unbelievable amounts of money for it

Are you familiar with former boxers the terrible twins? Remarkable how much weight they've put on since swapping boxing for bodybuilding.

Lots of boxers juice though to make the gains. James Toney (I would ask for money back though!), Mosely, Holyfield etc being notable known PED users.

And lost twice. He has fought at world level once, possibly twice if you consider Cleverly a world class fighter, and twice he has fallen short, so he isn't at world level, he's somewhere below that level. Plenty of very average fighters have fought for world titles and been mandatory, it doesn't make them world level fighters. And I don't think he earned his shot either, a win and a draw against Chilemba shouldn't guarantee you a world title shot IMO.
Eddie Croft once fought Erik Morales for the WBC belt. Was meant to be a charity fight to recognise Eddie's departure, sponsored spar type thing, WBC sanctioned it.
