Anyone else suspicious of Vlad?

Post by clubberlang »

His refusal to take a drug test and the size of the knuckle part of those hand wraps are really setting alarm bells ringing for me, Hes such a big money spinner in Germany that I really dont think the German boxing authority cant be trusted to fairly monitor him.

I am suspicious of every modern day athlete. But I give credit where credit is due. Wlad is a dominant champion and deserves respect

I think eventually random testing will be the norm, or I am at least hopeful it is. In the meantime, I think any athlete that refuses random testing is certainly subject to suspicion....and should be. If you have nothing to hide, what is the problem?

Do you think he's trafficking drugs in his hand wraps?

:OhYes:

Lads honestly can you give me a realistic reason why this 6'6 inch muscle bound giant would refuse to take a proper drug test? Only reason i can up with is that hes on something.

Go and watch Vlad post fight as he rapidly cuts off his wraps, the knuckle part of the wrap looks like a plaster knuckle duster. There has long been a rumour that Vlads team do a magarito with his wraps and unlike the povetkin fight im pretty sure that pulev didnt have dereck chisora checking those wraps.

Nope not really. If he is on PEDs then he's always taken them. His size and build is consistent year in/out. He was taught under same trainer Lennox had (when dominating HW div at same age). Wlad = Lennox bc of Steward

Yes, I think that he does use PEDs just like roy jones, Holyfield, lewis, tyson and most other top guys from 1980 to now.

You do realize that gauze does get bunched up when you land solid punches right?

I dont know why people assume such things would actually benefit a boxer in a fight... plaster or any such object would only serve to break or damage your own hand upon impact... only way it would work is if someone had brass knuckles under the tape, or if the glove itself was filled with something.

I will check it out... but in all honesty, why would a man whose almost 6'7" and weighs 250 pounds (and more when he isnt fighting) need to do load his gloves?... I mean how often have you seen such evidence for other fights in the passed ten years since he became the dominate champion?... I guess it just isnt enough, is it, to say that he beat a top contender who happened to have a stupid game plan.

The horseshoe statement was sarcasm.
But still, suggesting that the lumps on Wlads knuckles are a result of the punches landed is patently ridiculous.
His wraps are clearly applied differently than pulevs.
Does that give him a clear advantage? I don't know.
But your excuse for the difference in wrapping was guff

Not to get off subject but there is well documented evidence in boxing circles that Joe Louis did load his gloves for the 2nd Schmelling fight.....it was well known to everyone in the NY area during his reign

I have wrapped my fighters hands the exact same way Wlads are wrapped for 20 years in front of every commission you can think of

I've monitored hand wraps for nearly a decade for the boxing board and Wlad's wraps look normal. There is nothing unusual about them. This conspiracy theory is ridiculous.
