Floyd vs Pacquiao = biggest fight in history.

50% of what it grosses = many times more than the lion share vs the alternative options such as Thurman or Brook or... a Guerrero rematch ( )

It's also a very generous deal, Floyd will negate GBP fees and won't need to sell the fight with the same time & effort since Arum would be doing the work and picking up the bills.

It is quite simple. Floyd is a much bigger draw than Manny as evidenced by recent PPV numbers. Floyd would be stupid to give Pacquiao 50%. 40% is more than fair given their positions in boxing. Floyd is the biggest PPV draw. Floyd is undefeated. Manny has several losses including a devastating KO loss.

That's pretty interesting. $1bn is a hell of a figure to shoot for, half of that would be an amazing success. If anyone can pull it off though it' Arum, he understands Pacquiao is the biggest sportstar globally since Ali so to truly maximise revenue he has to expose other continents. Time difference's could be a real problem though, Asia is the other side of the planet.

Schaefer can't promote given the legality of the situation with GBP, he's still a significant shareholder, so working for rival promotional company wouldn't make any sense, he stated as much in his statement when he left GBP.

I'm not sure why people think Mayweather has the capacity to promote big cards. Getting a licence is simply a formality, if he had the cash and acumen he would've been doing it for years already instead of signing with Golden Boy.
