Pathetic really....people dont have an answer so their answers start sounding more and more ridiculous

I would just love to see a boxer tell the truth.

To be fair he might have been able to get his point across better with a translator. He was clearly struggling to put his answers together in a foreign language - just like I wouldn't be able to sound sensible in an interview not conducted in English

How about Soliman after his recent loss to Taylor? Despite an obviously injured leg he made absolutely no excuses.

pulev is a sore loser but you have to consider that he was a great champion in the amateurs and is not used to losing. he is extremely confident and was asuming that he would win that fight too. dissapointment can lead to such statements (roger federer did once accused djokovic of being lucky when he hit a winner match point down).

..all this is pretty much pitiful and embarrassing: his pre-fight comments (Pulev: Wladimir Klitschko has no heart, he's like a girl), one sided beating and now his post fight excuses...

Clearly Pulev was disappointed, but those sorts of comments are in very poor taste. He wasn't good enough, his defence was poor on the night and it cost him... I have no doubt that he'll be back, he's still one of the best heavyweights in the world. All he needs is a couple of good wins over ranked contenders and he can get his career back on track...
But realistically, there aint no shame in losing to Klitschsko.

Pulev talks crap a hell of a lot better than he fights.
He has nothing to be ashamed about, though. He's just a member of the most pathetic group of heavyweight pretenders I've ever seen.
If you've been watching, you already knew that.

Maybe he can get it on with Price next to determine who's Europe's biggest heavyweight flop.
How much longer until Wilder assumes command and puts an end to this madness?

Very odd. Pulev's head was still buzzing and wrecked by the hiding he got. He probably felt embarassed after being shown up in front of a lot of his fans.

He probably can't even remember saying those words now

Go ahead and hang your hat on Wilder SenorPoopoo, because you are going to be sorely disappointed.

I don't know what you are getting so worked up about, Senor. Pulev was never anything but a longshot coming into this fight, he took it to Wlad and landed some good shots (please compare to Klitschko's last defence) and got KO'd. He has beaten Thompson, Ustinov, Dimitrenko - hardly a flop.

True. The way Cleverly reflects on his defeat to Kovalev is refreshing.

Pulev was ranked at the 2nd best Heavyweight in the world going in to the fight, and he lost to the World Number One - so now he is: "a big flop"?

Agreed, although he didn't last the full fight, I do believe that he could have - had he choose to "play it safe" the way that Povetkin did. But whilst I do commend him for giving it a go, his defence was terrible and it was clear to everyone else that Wlad was looking for that wide left hook to the head, but Pulev didn't guard himself against it.

Actually Wlad drilled Pulev with the straight right earlier...and just barely missed a right that would have sent Pulev down for a very, very long time.
But yeah Pulev was game and earned his shot at Wlad, no doubt.

Erm... Are you people ok or you had a heavy session at the pub last night?

Pulev is clearly struggling in English. His point was that he was annoyed by Wlad's antics before the fight (nothing new: He does that with every opponent). He does goes on and admit that Wlad was a great fighter.

No problem with that interview, the guy wants to bounce back like most boxers.
