He never went down to Leeds but he has picked up a couple of more boxers, Jon Slowey a talented southpaw and Ally Black a lightweight/Light Welter that i don't know much about but billy tells me he is one to watch. He also has a Super Middleweight Mohammed.

It's fine winding billy up etc but he knows whole of scottish boxing respects him, he done a miracle
With burns who face it was going nowhere, obviously hard work got him where he was but
Billy was a driving force. I can't believe he left billy to train with Simms of all people, an unproven coach! Good few fighters in camp for billy now, hopefully start pushing on

All good, i was just kidding btw, no malice meant.

Ronnie doesn't have an easy time, training in Aberdeen then travelling for decent sparring, shows how dedicated he is. Fully expect a performance against Evans.

Good luck to Broph, he's got the skills no doubt. Not an easy division by any stretch, lots of good prospects coming through as well. Isn't Lee Markham fighting for the Southern Area next? Tom Baker making waves now, looks to be progressing very well. Fielding on the verge of a Brit shot. So there's big domestic fights to be had very soon, hopefully.

The bits and bobs i've seen on youtube of Billy working with his guys it's clear that he's a top coach who really knows his stuff, one of the few British boxing trainers that an aspiring coach can learn a great amount from imo, would love a visit to your gym with one or two of my lads Billy, hint hint ;;-)

I think it's a natural fight for Jon, however I believe Jon is a super bantam after only 3 weeks training and living properly he's 9st 2lbs given 7-8 weeks notice he'd make SBW imo
You will see a different Jon come sat and then build on that
Ally Black has improved more in 6 weeks than any fighter that's entered my gym door, this lad can dig hard and his technique is improving daily, gave Ricky Burns good sparring sun and mon

Joe Ham is having his first pro fight in a couple of weeks and wants to be fast tracked, would that be a fight that Jon would like for the Scottish Bantamweight Title??

Joe ham is at least 18 months away from fighting 10 rounders David IMO and I'd think it unlikely has both are managed and promoted by Alex they'd fight each other, however Slowey would have no issue fighting Joe should it ever arise.I believe Jon will contest domestic titles in the next 12 months though.
Do you think Ronnie will drop down to Scottish title level after losing to Evans or maybe go up to lightweight, Ally Black will campaign at Lightweight from next year has you seen he's a very strong lad who punches hard and has quick hands

So is the real question about Ronnie will he be moving up so you would like to match Ally Black against him? That is how it is coming across to me when you mention Ronnie moving up and then telling me Ally black will be moving to Lightweight!! Surely you would want to have him box against the lightweights?!!

Ronnie will continue to box at Super Feather, he has no issues making the weight and will look to fight for the Scottish title if the chance comes along. You know that for Ronnie it's not about the belts he just loves to fight and will fight whoever it takes to get to as far as he can go.

On Joe Ham, i am only mentioning him because he was up sparring and his dad was pretty sure that he would fight for the Scottish title in his first bout if offered to him. I think it would be easier for the Joe Ham vs Jon Slowey fight to be made because both are with the same manager. It's good to hear that Slowey is training hard though he is a good boxer.
