I'd love to have seen those two fight a couple of years back at light heavyweight
I'm not to sure, green at least is considered at the top level at cuiser or at least seems to be by most of the media and bika seems to just abe a perenial gatekeeper. Id keep danny above bika but i do agree it would o been a hell pf a foght in 2008/09

Although I think using media opinion as a criterion for pound for pound rankings is unwise, your conclusions are questionable even if we assume that such rankings should be partially based on media opinion. Bika is ranked inside the top ten by almost every publication, while Green fails to make the top ten lists of most of those publications; for example, Green is absent from the rankings of The Ring and Bad Left Hook, while Bika is #8 and #6 respectively.

Can you give recent examples of the media considering Green, but not Bika, a high level fighter?

Yes, but I see little evidence suggesting that most of the boxing media now considers Green, but not Bika, a high level fighter. Rankings such as those presented above highlight a general trend of Bika being ranked higher than Green is in their respective divisions.

I know what you are saying about 2 and 3. It is a battle getting 10 worthy names at the moment.

I'm not a fan of his, but surely Mundine has to rank higher after his recent win? I'd certainly have him over Caparello, Fletcher and Browne.

I can't put mundine too high. A close win against a relative unknown dosent do too much for me. Don't forget it wasn't that long ago he got pummelled by Joshua clottey.

It is hard at the moment. Most of our best are coming off recent losses.

1. Daniel Geale
2. Sam Soliman
3. Lucas Browne
4. Billy Dib
5. Sakio Bika
6. Anthony Mundine
7. Blake Caparello
8. Jarrod Fletcher
9. Lenny Zappavinga
10. Alex Lepai

Every time I take a look I change them.

Fletcher would have featured in most people's top 10s and he has just retired.

True. Geale could use Solimans high IBF ranking if he beats Sam and Sam could use Geales high rankings with the WBA,WBO. Plus it wouldn't be too expensive to set up. Ugly clash of styles though would hardly be a advertisement for the sweet science.

Really it's disgraceful from both Geale and Soliman that they are not fighting each other.

No need to get upset, it's not your fault that Australia has a below average boxing scene. It must hurt you a lot ;;-) oh well at least Australia has a good swimming team eh :TU:
