I think its a great matchup. Two upcoming fighters clashing. We don't see this that often anymore.

This this and this some more......everyone has opinions and that's great but sometimes you have to take a step back and applaud both lads for going for it. Which ever way you think it will go fights like this are what I watch boxing for.

No. I think there are going to be some very surprised people. Why on earth would Jr have a career ending fight at domestic level? Saying that its not really career ending but its the end of the line for a while to big bucks!

I don't get the argument that Eubank Jr will win because they would only take the fight if they thought he could. Course Sr thinks he can win, but it's his son, people have a tendency to think irrationally when it comes to the capabilities of those close to them. I'm sure Eubank Sr thought he could beat Collins, Calzaghe and Thompson, but he lost to all three.

Look at it the other way, Saunders wouldn't take the fight if he and the Tibbs didn't think he could win, especially with a world title fight as the other option.

And personally, I'd value the opinion of Jimmy Tibbs far higher than Chris Eubank's.

You seem to have forgotten that Snr said that Jnr could beat GGG and Mayweather..... So I would suggest Snr is not the best judge of who Jnr could beat......

I'm not suggesting that Jr will win. Im on the fence but I think Jr has something more up his sleeve.

Senior has a screw loose. I'd trust his career advice only marginally more than his style advice if I was out buying a new outfit.

Having said that he was never afraid of being in a 50/50 fight and maybe he's decided now is the time Jr found his level and got stuck in. He'll learn a million times more from losing to BJS than he will from putting another padded fleshy import on the seat of his pants inside 2 rounds. He can always come again and a bit of humility might make him a bit more marketable.

I expect controversy. Dubious stoppage, disputed points or disqualification. And a first round knockdown. Wish my instincts were specific enough to earn me some moolah. I also dislike both combatants so any narrative will be compelling for me.

I like both guys, and have to admit to loving the colourful character that is eubank sr. I know he's full of it, but still love it.

I think eubank via tko and I agree it's a semi mad prediction, there's a lot of grey area or unanswered questions which I'm having to answer to come to that prediction.

I'll be putting a few quid on the tko, to die by the sword.

But this is a great fight for British boxing, well done to all involved and let's hope that whatever the outcome, it generates a great healthy rivalry to carry into the next few years.

cant see anything other than a bjs win. eubank has no workrate and pretty poor footwork...if saunders is properly fit , even on a bad night , he should be able to win 120-108 boxing textbook fashion. eubank,s only hope is landing a big bomb much like chavez jr did on Martinez, but even then ive never seen anything that would suggest saunders cant take a punch. also, im not convinced eubank is the power puncher they are making him out to be. sure he has knocked out some low level fighters, but every over hyped prospect around these days gets 15 - 20 cosmetic ko's on their record before they step up. I just cant see saunders being stupid enough and slow enough to stand around waiting the three and a half seconds it takes eubank to plant his feet a metre apart to telegraph his old mans trademark punches.

as long as saunders isn't complacent, and doesn't allow eubank to drag him into a macho slugfest, he should punch eubanks head in , calzaghe-lacy style.

Looks to me like his sparring , is all about trying to make him feel good , build his confidence and fack all to do with technique . Doubt if Saunders will stand there and let him walk on ,
I doubt if Tibbs will allow BJS to let him get away with , dropping his hands and rolling his shoulders , without jumping on him and doubling the punches up .. Dunno the more i see young Eubank the more i feel his dad is trying to reincarnate himself through his son .
