Right now there is a show called "best of Bellew" being shown on Sky Sports. Im no hater of any fighter but that must be desperate viewing.
It's probably a highlight reel of his best pre-fight rants, his fights are usually boring as fvck

I wish Bellew was a heavyweight; Tony and Shannon Briggs would have a right old time of it; wonder if Bellew can ride one of those paddle boards like Wlad?

'Simple as dat, mate'

'Dese fists gotttta feed me kids'

Fvck off. Mans a gobshite, no more, sorry but he really is. I tip my hat to achievements etc but he is so full of shit it's laughable. He shite himself against Stevenson, and is rarely involved in anything remotely exciting, massively overrates his ability. Full of complete shit, pretending he is some kind of big time draw. Embarassing himself big time with his typical corny scouse dramatic chat.

As a proud Englishman I hope Cleverley knocks him spark out. I wouldn't pay a penny to watch this fight.

I've avoided much of the build up because I'm not buying it and it'd be tempting me to give in.

Bellew was sound when he posted on here, he really was OK. It must be when a camera is in front of him that he goes silly.

Some very funny posts here!!!!

I do find Bellew's angry, bullying, nasty Scouse act to be slightly ugly.

He has something of the bully about him.... I can just see him as bullying all the weak kids at school, but keeping quiet when a real nutter shows.

I noticed he didn't say much when Fury roasted him a few times. Fury is just too big for the bully to challenge

I also thought Tony generally seemed sound when he posted here, and just reading his posts I wouldn't have expected him to come across like a massive tit as he is now.

Just posted in another thread he didn't sound off too loud when Fury called him Pricey's bitch.

Behind the ropes clev bellew

Post by kamicazze »

I love the behind the ropes series but on the most recent one a few things stuck out.

Clev (the athlete) was eating mashed potato, 2 white brad rolls and gravy with his chicken breast - from a chippy along with oasis. Not sure whether most top fighters would do the same.

The second was a very valid point by Bellew. Clev should have remained with Adam Booth. Imagine how he would have got him performing? If Booth had trained cleverly for this I don't think it would be as marketable as it is as most would lean towards clev. As far as I know Darren Wilson is a s & c specialist, do you guys reckon clev would have benefitted from training under some one else?

I thought exactly the same regarding Clev's choice of meal! Still looks in decent shape at CW though. Whether he can have anywhere near the same work-rate remains to be seen. Looked very strong and fit on the track.

I rate Adam very highly so yes I think it would have been more certain the Cleverly would win however there's a good chance he may not have been in the best frame of mind having to travel to London, he strikes me as a real 'home bird' who likes his surroundings, probably comes from growing up in the game alongside Joe and Enzo Calzaghe.

As for the food thing, I think Clev just has more leeway with his diet than a lot of other cruisers due to him probably being naturally smaller so he doesn't need to worry so much about making weight. If his training and the majority of his diet is right I don't think a couple of rolls and some mash will make much difference will they?

Cleverly must just be lucky with his genetics OR that was a one off type event (havent seen the show yet though so could be wrong).

£17 to watch two top 20 contenders stopped by the top two in the division clearly and without argument, and you still get adverts too.

No thanks.

They could have Kelly Brook in oil advertising it, not paying.

Cleverly might have had that as a 'reward' meal, or he might not have even had it at all. Mayweather always makes a point of being seen eating take aways in the 24/7s.

I've not watched any of the build up to this for the same reason as others have mentioned.

However, my old man has watched a couple of them as he's a casual boxing fan and it's turned him right off it.

I can honestly say now that i will not be crossing sky's hand with silver for this domestic clash

I've not actually watched any of it. Briefly saw a mention the other day, but wasn't really paying attention.

Says it all.

Wasn't the first fight shown for free by B o x N a t i o n?

I think we're seeing a lot of top fighters for our money. Just not enough 50-50 match ups.

With subs and the PPV this month SKY will cost about £50 (I'm guessing).

I'm going to Chelsea - WBA tomorrow on a ticket that cost £600.

To be honest now, all I'm looking forward to is the card to come and go.

Then maybe we can get back to talking about boxing and not 20 threads on PPV :TU:

It's a massive rip off and Sky/Matchroom will be slated for the next decade about it.

Nothing in the build up has changed my mind that this is a rip off, and Bellew's tired bully and big mouth act has turned me off even more. The Arsenal v Man U match won't finish till nearly 730 so if the first fight is at 6 then half the card will be over by then
