Though Groves has got a bit annoying lately, I just can't warm to DeGale. At times he makes my skin crawl.
First I was aware of Grovesy was the BBC piece when he was left out of the Beijing Olympics for Degale. I thought this is an interesting little story, nice fella and he seems quite good from what he's telling me....

so I start to follow him when he turns pro. By the time the Degale fight comes up and some bloated 60-odd year old who should really know better is sitting next to a tracksuited Degale and sniggering at Groves's immaculate suit and tie, I've even got the Mrs rooting for Groves on 5Live when he was being talked up like a new Henry Cooper

Skip forward 3 years and I don't know whether it's Groves, or his nerves or Froch or this horrid, sh*tty, two-bob studio set-up they do nowadays, but he started to come across like a bit of a crank tbh.

George should go back to doing what he was doing before. Keeping it classy - it was refreshing. However - perhaps there's more money to be made in boxing by appealing to a far less discerning type of punter....who knows? :-?
