Haha Halling slagging the WBA to start this one off. I actually think they are probably the worst body at the mo because of the number of titles. Their mandatories and rankings often don't seem up to scratch either.

I am looking forward to this one. Wake would have been better no doubt, but when people say they think Jamoye is better you know people are going OTT.

Like Neil Gee said, basically made a sarcastic comment about how Otake wasn't rated but then 'abracadabra' he appeared in the rankings after this fight got made.

Well to be fair we spell Japanese names how they sound. If we were to write it correctly we would be using the Japanese alphabet.

Yeah, it's similar with Russian/Eastern European fighters - they use a completely different alphabet, so there's no 'correct' way of spelling the names in English, just the closest thing available. (The same could be said for some Welsh fighters btw!)

Ermmm, I can assure you the Welsh use the same alphabet as English. There are more letters but they just involve extra letters, for example c and ch, or d and dd are different letters.

Edit - Actually I get what you mean now. Wales having different names names for places etc.

Would you agree this isn't an 'abomination.' I repect Boxing prospects opinion and all but there does seem to be some kind of motive behind what he is saying. In my opinion he is a bit 'It's Wake. If it's anyone else outside the top 5 it's not acceptable.' I mean it went from 'oh the fights announced over here, but not in Japan, it isn't happening.' To 'Oh it's announced over there now, it won't happen tho Quigg will fight a late replacement.' To Otake arriving and now lasting into the 6th despite taking a lot of shots (which we knew he would have.)

Yeah admittedly the opponent could be worse. Saying that though it still is very one sided in the sense that otake just doesnt have the firepower to make this interesting aside from being a tough bastard who keeps coming.

Yeah agreed on that. More a case of Hearn and the matchmaker being smart enough to find a guy with a high ranking who has the style to suit Quigg. I know you think otherwise but I think Martinez's style would play into Quigg's hands. It will be the guys who can box and move while also having enough power to keep him honest that will beat Quigg.
