Right Hook

Post by mickey1975 »

I've just caught up with this. The man is mental. Both were absolutely terrible. Nathan flicked out a crap jab for 8 rounds and was winning the fight(!), then layed on the ropes for four rounds whilst this supposed puncher had free shots at him and still couldn't do anything. Appalling performance by both. Huck would hurt him.

Huck would tear him a new one. I could see Boomer turning his back again after a barrage of Huck hammer blows.

Not sure where Boomer goes from here to be fair. Do they cash out with a Huck fight straight away or do they risk trying to milk him for a bit. Would like to see him try to prove himself the best in the UK but they won't let him near Afolabi

Terrible fight by the way, very pleased for the stream

He didn't seem too keen when Eddie asked him if he wanted Huck lol It's a proper smashing for him, no doubt. I'm sure he can pull in Johnny Nelson for some advice, mind.

I think they have milked him Lenny!

Terrible event. Here's to hoping that the PPV was a failure, under 50K would be about right.

Eddie made me laugh 'All the cruiser-weight champions will now be after a fight with Bellew'. Yeah, right Eddie! If they did, it would only be because they'd expect an easy nights work.

As much as I respect any boxer for getting inside the ropes, realistically, Bellew is not world level material. Simple as that. He'd need Huck to get a terrible cut in the first round, injure his shoulder in the second and lose the use of both legs by the third...

Serious question, is being better than Cleverly the limit of you hopes for Bellew?

Where would you as the resident Boomer fan like to see him go next?

Tony only sold out because Clev was in the other corner. So really both sold them. If he's that popular, why not take him around the UK like they did with Naz and Ricky? Have you completely forgotten the first fight? It really is 1-1 and Bellew, although winning fairly, far from dominated. He was horrendous for 6 rounds, he only had half a jab to walk through and he couldn't even manage that. God knows what happened to the athlete after that, but it certainly wasn't anyth Tony did. A puncher would 100% have stopped Clev in the second half of that fight. I'm sorry, I'm not even trying to wind you up.

This; Bellew only sold that amount of tickets because on Nathan; I was in Liverpool for this and sat in amongst Liverpudlians; the majority said Bellew was an embarrassment to Liverpool with the way he conducts himself. The fight was awful; neither boxer did their careers any favours. TB was fighting a one handed blown fighter and that was the best he could do   And for you to get so excited about this performance says everything about you to be honest.

It was kind of sad to watch Cleverly vs Bellew. Bellew was a bit of an underdog who go to a decent level through grit and determination. Cleverly looked like he had potential with a hint of Calzaghe, technical promising and good work rate.

On Saturday it was like watching 2 guys who both knew their time in the boxing game is up and were there for a con-job. A pay day. Neither guy is anywhere near world level. Cleverly has significantly regressed and Bellew... he probably has too, at least in the first fight he landed a few shots. I hope neither fight again, watching either guy get smashed to bits by Marco Huck is something i would want to watch about as much as the replay of Clev-Bellew 2.

That other Welsh fool said before the weigh in that he spoke to Scousers and they all want him to win :KO:

Well let me tell u something I was there for the fight and the weigh in and no one wanted cleverly to win they all can't stand him I mean come on he wears a bandana   u chat utter 5hit, cleverly had around 100/200 fans and the rest was all there wanting bellew to win, cleverly got booed from start to finish no real scouser would ever support a Welsh person over one of their own.

I do remember bellew going to Wales tho and all the Welsh asking him for pics I was there and he must of done at least 50 I can honestly say not 1 scouser I saw asked clev for a pic and after that pi55 poor dismal performance I doubt he will ever have any Welsh cheering him on again

Easy easy easy easy easy easy easy easy easy easy I remember the Scousers chanting that at the end

I've heard Right Hook is prepared to "die on the forums" protecting Tony. The only reason he's not on here more is he has three kids at home who he adores and spends every spare minute with them. That's real pressure, not arguing online.

Just watched the post fight presser. The whinging ingrate is still complaining about how he is getting no credit for his victory.

It must be something to do with the fact that he could not stop a one armed stationary target.

He comes to fight, it's as simples as that. He was so angry that he actually admitted to loving his Nan a little less than before.

I have nothing against scousers in general, I`ve had some great nights out in Liverpool with my scouse mates.

However Bellew does typify the stereotype whinging, complaining, persecuted, nan loving, gobshiteish, hardman acting scouser.

You get arseholes everywhere to be fair.
