Of course what you say is utter bullshit because any rational human being with a brain can see that Margarito was a stationary target that Pacquiao could fire (while planting his feet down) at will while Algieri was running around the ring as Pac needed to chase and cut the ring off inorder to land his power punches. In the process, he could not accumulate the amount of punches needed that would send Algieri down permanently, it was mostly one-twos.

He didn't need to do that with Brandon Rios or Bradley who were both in his face for the taking and he didn't KO either of them despite hitting both of them with everything but the kitchen sink the same as he did to Algieri despite his running.

I agree with beatdown that Manny is no longer carrying the same power he once has, that's not a bad thing to say. Sure power is the last thing to go on any fighter but that doesn't mean it doesn't decline, Tommy Hearns had punching power but over time even he wasn't the same as he once was.

Nothing wrong with saying what is obvious, Pac is getting older but he still has respectable power despite he's no longer KOing anyone.

I didn't fail to mention it, Rios and Algieri are coming up in weight and still Manny didn't KO either of them, he never even knocked Rios down. I'm not surprised in the least that pac didn't get the ko. I've been saying for quite some time now that pac doesn't have the same punching power that he had at one point in his career. The pac that destroyed marg at a catch weight over 150 would have destroyed algeiri inside of 4 rounds. I'm not sure that there's anyone here who could argue with that. The fact that he knocked algieri down doesn't mean much because chris had NO BUSINESS being in the ring with pac. He is not a world class fighter and would lose to every single welterweight inside the boxrec top 10. (Anyone may feel free to debate that as well)

Bottom line, those punches don't have the same steam on them. I have my beliefs on why and we'll agree to leave it at that.

What I said was that him not getting the knockout against algieiri didn't surprise me because the pac that fought margarito was powerful punching machine. In no way did I compare the 2 fights or 2 fighters. The argument could be made that Miguel cotto did his best to use his legs against pac, but yet it was to no avail because manny is a master at cutting off the ring and using his feet and athleticism. Algieri isn't in his class and the fact that top rank even made this fight is a disgrace.

My whole point was never to take credit away from his win. But only to say that I have seen this man destroy welter and junior middleweights at one point and time. He no longer does this. So therefore, why would I be surprised?

If you want to talk facts, think numbers, no knockouts in his last 9 fights. Hard to get more factual than that.

Yeah but if you speak the truth about Pacquiao these pac fans act as if you are dissin him when you are just stating the facts. Some will sum it up to "oh, but then again most WWs won't KO this guy or that guy" but those are just excuses.

There's nothing wrong with saying Manny's punching power has declined, the numbers speak for themselves. I believe the MP that fought RH would've taken BR's head off at that time with how many shots he landed on him when they fought but this older MP is just that "older" and therefore he has lost a great deal of his punching power.

That doesn't diminish or take away anything he has achieved with less power but it should be a credit to his other skills that he has had to rely on thus proving that he isn't only a power puncher but he is actually a highly skilled boxer.

Bradley and Algieri was trying to use the same formula that JMM used on Manny but Pacquiao has elevated his boxing IQ and shown that he cannot be suckered it that trap any longer.

Don't know if Manny's punching power has really declined.
At welter, he's simply beating on bigger bodies that can absorb the punishment better.

He did pretty well power-wise moving up from flyweight until he passed the lightweight division. Even then he destroyed Hatton with a single shot.
But apparently, at welter, he's finally peaked.

It doesn't diminish him.
His punches will still get your attention big time.

Technically, Manny did score a KO over Algieri in the 9th as Algieri really didn't make it up at 9. Khan got up quicker against Garcia than Algieri against Pacquiao and the ref still waived Khan off.
