Excellent article...
And another impressive KO win by Khytrov tonight.

Still, Khytrov's most impressive fight is the one against Murata at 2011 AIBA championship:

Good read. I like Khytrov and was glad he won convincingly yesterday. Hopefully he continues to develop and poses a genuine threat to Golovkin in the future.

Cheers for the article. I have one big problem with it though:
Come on.... Lomachenko's first pro fight was prob more impressive. And world title in 3rd fight. Usyk and Beterbiev are big contenders for impressive early matches.Best night of pro career: It could be argued that no fighter with less than 10-fights has been as impressive as Khytrov (Pronounced Hytrov) at this point

He will get slaughtered. That come forward style will walk him into major bombs the likes of which he hasn't ever tasted.Jpreisser wrote:Good read. I like Khytrov and was glad he won convincingly yesterday. Hopefully he continues to develop and poses a genuine threat to Golovkin in the future.

Currently, yes, but he has time to improve his defense. Honestly, I just want him to become good enough to be a quality contender, whether he can beat Golovkin isn't much of a concern, as I would root for GGG.Baby Face Finster wrote:He will get slaughtered. I believe Khytrov is right in there with Usyk and Beterbiev for how he's done so far. He's beaten 3 guys who are pretty useful, not world class but much better than guys with single digits usually fight and he's not won decisions against them he's knocked them out.reggaereggae wrote:Cheers for the article. I also think the Chatman, Fortune and Rose wins were damn good, the later two, were first round knockouts not just TKO victories, Khytrov is demolishing guys.

I seen this kid at CONSOL. He destroyed some kid from Detroit with a good record. I'd love to see Khytrov in Pittsburgh again!

Tanaka? Inoue? Other Inoue? Usyk? Beterbiev? Nakatani? Lomachneko? Jomthong? I think I'm missing another Japanese kid as wellreggaereggae wrote:Cheers for the article. 2/20? Where will this beast be fighting?
Re: New Faces: Ievgen Khytrov
Fantastic I'm gonna go to that. I hope Sammy is headlining. Tyson's got a hell of a stable of thorobreds right now. Khytrov and Vasquez are unstoppable

Seems like Tyson is out, just last week they reported he was let go and they'd rename the company. Its too bad cause he was a great figurehead, and the quality of their cards improved a lot when they brought him onboard, coincidence or notjewboypgh wrote:Fantastic I'm gonna go to that. I hope not. I googled around, couldnt find anything. Yet could have sworn I saw it last week on the scene, with Jonas pushing Mike out. Hope that was bad rumors. They didnt have much going without him.barron71 wrote:Tyson is out?
Re: New Faces: Ievgen Khytrov
I cant say I was too impressed with Khytrov so far. High guard pressure fighter with power. Not a technician like other Ukrainians. He was getting outboxed in one of the fights I saw, but got a KO. He sets up big punches very well but otherwise he seems technically deficient.

He fights with no fear, and hits very hard. He'll need a top chin to go far as his skills good, but not exactly top drawer.

Unfortunately it looks like the rumor was true. Such a shame, their last couple of cards were action packedbarron71 wrote:Tyson is out?
