Khan vs Devon

Post by diddy »

I'm surprised Khan is only a -200 favorite here. I think he takes this hands down. Alexander seems to be on the backslide and doesn't have the power to stop Khan. Khan by dec. Wide.

I would maybe think twice about that. He's accurate and throws a decent amount of punches. Khan's chin seems to have it's good days and it's bad days, but he also reacts badly to clean shots & pressure. Khan look awful against Lamont Peterson. If Alexnder can put togetehr a few clean combo's on Khans chin i wouldn't rule out a stoppage - if he hurst Khan, Alexander is fast and accurate enough he could finish the job.

At first i liked Khan, the more i think about it, the more i like Devon, but still leaning towards Amir, just.

I'll be damned I agree with Ricky on a post he made.
Like you were saying Alexander throws quite a few punches and is accurate. He will hopefully put a
ton of pressure on Khan.It could make the difference.

Alexander is overrated.

Got handled by Porter. Got a heinous decision against Kotelnik and Matthysse. Looked like crap against Soto Karass. Got beat up by Bradley. He's just not that good.

Depends which Devon turns up. Devon on his best day beats Khan, Devon on his worst day doesn't beat a top 15 guy in the division

Devon is a strange fighter........he's got his ass whipped by Porter....looked very average several times but toys with Maidana.

Maidana was his only good performance vs a top fighter. But Khan fights nothing like Maidana. Alexander prefers to box on the outside. Khan LIVES on the outside. Very hard to beat him at that game.

Khan is so unpredictable. When you thnk he wins fairly easily, he goes life and death. When you expect him to struggle, he wins dominantly.

I disagree that Alexander is accurate. Loads of his punches seem to fall short and given how fast he is I'm surprised he doesn't land cleanly more often.

Danny Garcia did exactly that, so did Prescott. Khan gives you opportunities to land although less so under Hunter.

Alexander will stay outside looking for the big counter left all night, and if Khan's on form he wont find it and will end up looking either like a fool or shot.

I take Khan by 118-110 territory.

Hopefully both men turn up on form, they both have previous for underperforming recently

It should be a great fight, with a lot of speed and skill on display, despite concerns over Khan's chin,i dont think Alexander can stop him,it'll be intriguing to see who's fastest,i reckon Amir even up at WW

If Khan is troubled by Alexander's speed then you know he'll take chances to turn it in his favour but if vice versa id expect Devon to go into negative mode and be content to be outpointed

Khan points

Interesting fight. When it was last mooted I was picking Alexander but that was after Khan's shitty display against Diaz. After looking solid against Collazo Khan outpoints him I think.

It really depends on what version of each guy shows up. Both are good but not what I would call elite. If you think about it, the fight is a nothing fight as far as putting someone in line for a huge ppv event. Khan should be fighting Porter or Thurman if he wanted that. I guess he knows Alexander isn't a big puncher so it is a safer pick. Even Guerrero would have been better so he could measure himself vs Floyd since that is the only fight he wants.

I predict Khan by a narrow points win, but hope Alexander pulls it out to finally shut Khan up. Even if Khan loses he can make some big money fighting Brook.

I'm leaning towards Khan but Devin is a dark horse & Khan has 'that chin'. Alexander was brilliant against Maidana and I was also impressed by the way he battled back against Kotelnik (I think I had the fight a draw but Devon did well late on).

Khan on points but who knows.

Hopefully the winner fights Thurman, Brook, Guerrero or Porter.
