Talk of payroll is nonsense, Ronnies coach told me it was a poor decision but I've also heard Evans won handily so it's a case of interpretations, I've also been involved with what I thought was a poor decision with john Simpson v Stephen Smith were john IMO won that fight by 2/3 rounds and we got a draw lost by one point and lost by an incredible five points

Simpson won both them fights for me. He started really slow in both and was even rocked early on in the second one I think it was but still thought he done enough both times. As for Ronnie v Evans, most people know I am very much team Clark but this is the first time I have posted about the fight as I haven't saw it yet so I can't have opinion until I see it. I thought Troy nicked the last fight and the fight with Walsh could have went either way. All Everyone can take from it is once again 4 times now Ronnie goes on the road and boxes prospects. We need more of these fights. And fair play to him, great attitude from a cracking guy.

Looks like we're getting at least some of Ronnies fight with Evans

Williams blasted out Lomax in a round so hopefully we'll get the lot,but i doubt it

Only a couple of minutes of Williams to show with 35-40 minutes left, if they've already shown Costello we might get the full fight, should get most of it.

Well we only got the last 2 rounds of the fight plus a quick recap of the 2 point deductions to Ronnie,Clark won both of them on John Rawlings card and id agree with that although the 9th was scrappy, hard to really tell anything from what i saw

Just noticed Ronnie's at 10 in this months BM rankings although they have him being from Paisley :shame:

Whole fight was like the 9th round.. Close but Ronnie being the aggressor.. There was only 1 point off obviously making it look like there was 2.. Rounds were close the fight wasn't.. See the referee letting Craig off with holding non stop.. Hopefully everyone can get to see the rest

Far too many media people with agendas that prevent them from ever giving an unbiased view.
The majority of people in this thread have done that. They have listened to the views of the camp from in here, looked at reports elsewhere and then most have said they want to see the fight to score it for themselves. There isn't much more that can be done with regards to this fight except take the word of one corner or the opposite view.
Arguing the fact when they haven't even seen the fight! What part of that don't you find effing stupid?

I'd hardly say most have been arguing. Like I said, Ronnie's camp started the thread, people read it and some agreed he had been hard done by in the past. Someone else posted that others had it the other way.

the main response after that is that most want to watch the whole fight so there's nothing stupid about it.

Being overly defensive about people trying to get the whole picture of an untelevised fight is a bit daft though

Nah i didnt see a low blow,Ronnie did catch him with a solid right hand just before the ref called break, either the right to the face on the break hurt Evans but he signalled a low blow,i didnt see one, maybe just looking for a breather

The referee DIdnt dven signal the seemingly low shot, it was two body shots that took his wind, look at him in corner, I want to see previous rounds as ronnie had a strong 7 I heard, strong 2 and 1 was the round they shared possibly? Why was ronnie smiling? Cause he was enjoying himself, someone put earlier about ronnie seemingly being hurt? As John Rawlings said at no time has evans power affected ronnie, ronnie would be honest about it,

Looked a really scrappy fight and i couldnt make out the low blow , looked like a very light left hook( touch ) to the stomache unless there was a punch before that i missed,

Ronnie is good value and i hope he gets more action on TV or a fight against some of the scottish challangers

i think there one thing we can all agree on though is that Anton De Beuke ( TONY BEAK ) has a face that anyone would like punch about :TU:

The Scottish Mafia on here again crying robbery. Wonder if there will ever be a day when they will just hold their hands up and admit their boy lost ! Watched the highlights on the TV last night, what was with Clark and all his spoiling tactics ? Constant illegal use of the head in close. Not even subtle. Are the Mafia just overlooking that ? It was bordering on unwatchable. No wonder you can't match him.

The tartan terrors are noisy but you can't fault their support. Ronnie is learning to box pro by boxing pro - he's going to get the shaft sometimes boxing in England. I've not seen this bout but read the report in Boxing News - I don't think BN journalists are on the payroll and they do know how to score and report a bout. Another loss without injury isn't all that bad.

The point was taken off for Ronnie shoving his head into Evans face, deliberate or not, it was blatant and as they showed a couple of examples off it, looked like a clear point deduction IMO.

One question? What happens when two southpaws meet? Also is it ok for a referee to be pushing one fighter? Does that sap energy? U seen even in 9 and 10 they are clean breaks And he's still putting his hands on ronnie and little shove back, fact is we need to see full 10 rounds , there's no moaning as ronnie said himself he's gonna need to start stopping them In England as he kndw he won't get a decision down there, he'll learn from it and come back stronger

They have a fight. The issue comes when a southpaw meets an orthodox fighter, the feet get tangled and the heads come together a lot, but two southpaws is no different to two orthodox fighters. And the point came off for Ronnie pushing his head into Evans face, no clash of heads there, just a clear headbutt. Yes, it is ok for the referee to push a fighter back, he was doing it to create some space between the fighters after calling break, couldn't do it to Evans because he was by the ropes. You are moaning, calling the decision a disgrace and saying Clark was robbed is moaning in my book. And he was fighting a Welshman, nothing to do with being in England, he obviously didn't do enough to win.

Iv called it a robbery? Never once did I say that, I said the scorecards were a joke but never once stated who should have won, also two southpaws meet you get a
Messy fight, known fact, so cause ronnie was the aggressor he is being pushed around from the referee, ok haha, evans is the home fighter and majority of fights are in England, his promotor organised the show, doesn't mstter he's from Wales, ronnie always fights on rival promotor shows cause he's not one of these so called prospects, he doesn't care who he fights, maxi hughes rematch, was supposed to happen but they refused to come up here yet feel the need to call him out, why don't a few of them come up here, boxing needs more fighters like ronnie who is willing

I was talking about you a group, there have been a lot of complaints about the decision. Do you get messy fights with two orthodox fighters? Southpaw-orthodox is what causes messy fights, not southpaw-southpaw. The referee has to create distance between the fighters after breaking them up to allow the fight to flow a bit without them immediately getting tied up again, preferably in the centre of the ring, if he'd pushed Evans back he'd have shoved him into the ropes. And you make out like it was a forceful two handed push, he eased him backwards with the back of his hand. Evans was fighting 3-4 hours from home, in another country, on a £100+ a ticket dinner show, he wasn't at home and he certainly didn't have any partisan support in there, it was a charity dinner show. Evans is not a top prospect or star, if he lost I doubt Warren would be that worried. Ronnie fights on the road because the money isn't there to bring anyone up to Scotland to fight him.

Referee pushing the fighter saps energy, fact, was well
Publicised when hatton fought mayweather, it shouldn't be happening, being a home fighter is nothig to do with fans, he was fighting on his promotors show in the home corner, Davie Mcallister offered maxi the same a what ronnie would be paid to fight down there, as was the Ryan walsh rematch offer, they go on board guidelines to what should be paid for Certain distance fights, don't try and make it out
It's anything but refusing to fight up here, as they arnt willing to take risks, what experience have you got of promotion and offering of fights? Not being cheeky just interested as you seem to think it's clear cut money

The issue with Cortez in the Hatton-Mayweather fight was that he wouldn't let Hatton work on the inside and blamed the holding on Hatton when it was Mayweather. Being pushed back only saps energy if you try and resist it, if the referee goes to push him back, it's a sign he wants him to move back, so take a step backwards then go to work again. Evans was in the home corner, but I still wouldn't call that fighting at home and it isn't going to influence a referee to score a fight that supposedly should have gone to Clark by 5 points to Evans, being in the home corner doesn't cause a swing like that. If Maxi was getting what Ronnie would have got to fight in England, have you not thought that Maxi would then be getting less money to fight on the road than he would at home, same for Walsh. It's risk reward, if the money's right for the fight, they'll travel. And there's too many factors involved to have guidelines on what should be paid, I doubt anyone pays much attention to the board guidelines, although I would be interested in seeing them.
