There are less boxing fanatics now because TV Networks have spoilt boxing

Will Morales Vs Pacman shown in the uk ?

Post by Boxing Addict »

Does anyone know if these fights will be shown in the UK?

Morales Vs Pacman Jan
Mormeck Vs Bell Jan
Castillo Vs Corrales Feb
Karmazin Vs Garcia Feb
Mosley Vs Vargas Feb
Rahman Vs Toney Mar
Chavez Vs Barrera Mar
Zudah Vs Mayweather Apr
Mayorga Vs De La Hoya May

I got a feeling we might get some of the Golden Boy Promotion fights (which is HBO) live on Sky Sports, Showtime are doing so many big ones in 2006 but we probably won't get to see them hear in the uk - apart from Calzaghe Vs Lacy live on ITV.

We should all write to the SKY, ITV, SETANTA etc and request they show these fights, rather than watching up & coming / well looked after domestic fighters fighting against bulgarian opposition. We miss out on the big superfights here because they are on american networks, but the germans get to see most of the big fights from the states, often live! and free! We pay more in the UK for television than them german bastards!

The german thing is absolutly not true. They have gotten some cards for free, but thats because the Klitschko's have been on the cards. Other than that I dont think they get any boxing at all from the US unless its on Eurosport (Allthough Hopkins vs Taylor 2 was PPV in Germany). You get far more foreign fights in Britain than Germany. I think you are one of the european countries that gets the most foreign boxing. I think only Italy gets more fights.

That seems about right - we don't do too badly as far as European channels go - think Canal + France and Premiere Germany, both subscription, show a lot of the big fights though.

Almost certainly Sky will show the fight - the boss there said that was their intention for 2006: the BIG fights, and no more WBU missfires.

All I can say is, they better show PBF & Judah LIVE

None of them will probably be shown...... they wont get past sky's quality control.
