Cassius Clay {Muhammad Ali} has been stripped of his Championship, for refusal to be inducted
for service/duty in the United States Military.

Former Heavyweight Champion - Sonny Liston has been offered a bout in Japan with any of the
Top 10 Heavyweights, for an International 'version' of the Heavyweight Championship.

Promoters in Mexico City have made a 'quiet offer' to Muhammad Ali, to come to Mexico to
fight Manuel Ramos.

It should be noted, however, that Ring Magazine recognized Muhammad Ali (referring to him as 'Cassius Clay') as champion until early 1970.

I have all of them, 1924 thru 2012.
Can't post them all of course, but if there are a few you wich to see I can post them here for you.

I'm interested in Heavyweight ratings. I'd love to have a complete set of heavyweight ratings from the Ring. I've got many typed into a word document (and have referred to them to contribute to discussions from time to time), but I have lots of gaps (including the above October 67, so thanks, Il Duce, for those). I don't have any ratings between December 1941 and February 1949, for instance. I've got ratings from at least one issue from 1949 on, and in some cases several more.

Shall I list my gaps?

Would other readers be interested in seeing the heavyweight ratings I do have for any given year? They'd be easy for me to post - a simple matter of copy-and-paste.

It should be noted, however, that Ring Magazine recognized Muhammad Ali (referring to him as 'Cassius Clay') as champion until early 1970.

As did the BBBC, the EBU, some American states and, I believe, the WBC until he announced his retirement on 3rd February 1970 in order to let his friend Jimmy Ellis fight Joe Frazier for the undisputed title.

How could a boxer be rated higher than a boxer who was the undefeated champion, a month or two removed from having his championship taken away. You would think he wouldn't be rated at all.

hey SWEET SCI do you have the ratings 1924-2012 or so, I;ve researched all ring ratings for heavyweights
1960's and 70's , is there a way I may obtain them?
