I think walsh is going to stop him, but I feel it may take 6 or 7 for walsh to catch up with sykes. sykes is a nice boxer but buckland set the blueprint.

Ye, agree. Although I think it's a good fight I don't think it's a 50/50. Walsh should be just too good for Gary.

Should be a good fight, I'd favour Walsh but wouldn't be too surprised if Sykes took it on points.

This is potentially the fight of the night.

I favour Sykes' high work rate for a win on points (or less likely a late stoppage win), but Walsh also has the power to pull out a counter to stun Gary, maybe in the second half. Either way it would not be a surprise to this match nominated for fight of the year.

The winner deserves a European title shot.

Walsh been very in active is known to struggle at making the weight at super feather .Joe murray pushed him all the way appleby hurt him. Sykes has come back well after the buckland ko in pf. Deffo walshs biggest test to date

Both are ready to go at S/F IMO for different reasons, but this is a great fight and deserves to be getting more attention, a really good trade fight, I wish them both the best of luck and We (Team Troy) will be watching with anticipation to see who we should & will be facing early 2015 for that Lonsdale belt

IMO if Walsh wins I see him vacating British & Commonwealth titles and Troy fighting for Vacant belts, but if Sykes wins I see him trying to defend it 1 last time so he has it for keeps and him & Troy fighting March/April time

I have always liked Sykes. A really good exciting pro, always well prepared. I think he can win this.

I like Sykes too, he has his feet on the ground and seems an intelligent fellow. i don't think he'll ever get caught out like he was v Buckland (I don't think Buckland will get caught out as he was by Smith). This is bound to be a high octane bout and could be close on the cards, Walsh is a good lad as well - it'll be one of those where you're chuffed for the winner and gutted for the loser.

Its a tough one to call,it depends how Walsh will cope later on if Sykes still has the engine,inactivaty and weight making issues could be a factor for Walsh

I have a sneaky feeling Sykes is gonna gas late on though and Walsh will stop him,if not then points for Liam

Walsh has a habit of getting dragged into a war, loves a tear up, combine that with Sykes engine and it should be a great fight, struggling to pick a winner, Walsh is the more polished boxer and hits a bit harder, but he's tight at the weight and Sykes could outwork him.

Good fight and got the TV coverage off to a good start.

Not quite the barn-burner i thought it would be & the 1st round knock down probably had a bit to do with that. Walsh put on yet another impressive display and Sykes showed great bravery to keep trying.

The best man won on the night and I hope Walsh can get a European title fight now, he definitely deserves it.
