1940s Lightweight welterweight ,one of the all time hotheads once disqualified for hitting FRItzie Zivic low about 20 times in a row touching off a near riot and a lifetime suspension later rescinded. He was killed taking on a gunman barehanded while trying to stop a holdup in his buddies tavern .He was a wildman and one of boxings all time colorful fighters.

Mayorga has a good chin at welter but honestly I think his power is over rated. I say Bummy wins a decision.

Bummy fought many good fighters, a hell of a lot of very good fighters, and more than a few great fighters. Mayorga hasn't fought anybody that would've been a 10 round fighter in the era in which Davis fought. Davis kos him in 6-8 rounds.
