The reason I got interested in boxing has become reality....

Any other Sly fan you can book em online but the cheapo seats have gone. Plus for an extra £500 you can have your photo taken with Sly himself!!!!

At most of these events the photo is part of the package and it doesn't cost anywhere near £500.
Sounds like someone is trying to cash in here.

Presumably with 'Gotta Fly Now' playing in the background on repeat, as Sly gets through the queue.Matt Teague wrote:Hahaha brilliantpalooka wrote:500 quid?I'd want him to wank me off for that.

Re: The reason I got interested in boxing has become reality
I went to the one in Manchester a few months ago - it was pretty good, but no where near worth the money. I have guessed at the cost of my tickets but told my wife not to tell me the cost as I would still be crying now.
There was a big crowd - including the likes of Crolla, Joe Gallagher and the usual Coronation Street lot.
Google the Manchester Evening News - there were quite a few complaints from those who had paid literally £'000's for a VIP ticket that including meeting Sly etc. and were disappointed.

Im going to ager a lot of boxers pro or amateur got into the sport because of Stallone. Those who are my age and was maybe 13 when Rocky 3 came out could say that it changed their lives.
Stallone no matter what you think was and is an inspiration to many boxers and fans out there.
Its a bloody privilege he is coming over. Yes 500 notes is a lot to get a personal photo but many will pay that 500

Makes me really regret being too hammered to go over and talk to him a few years ago in vegas. I think it was when the contender was in and he was happy to pose for pics and chat

Roco is the Manager / Agent bringing him over.
He also brought Swarzenegger over recently and in April 2015 Al Pacino is in town.
He also has plans to bring Sophia Loren (she's 80 now) and others but I'm bound by confidentiality.
The Manchester show was a proper rip off. VIP's paid £1500 and some didnt even get a pic.
The same guy who ran that is running Pacino and tickets are ........ £1666 plus VAT !
Roco is a decent guy it's just that he has no reality on the value of money.
This is not a piss take but one of my Clients in the entertainment industry was offered Stallone for a dinner - £185k for four hours.
You couldn't make it up.
Roco is going alone for the Sheffield show - wish him good luck and hope the punters are happy but as they say on Dragon's Den - I'm out.

Im not familiar with this kind of thing, a show biz A lister doing a meet on stage. What happens. Is it like 90 minutes of chit chat? the things we know? any light on this?Parson Cross wrote:Free if you buy a VIP ticket otherwise £10.
Re: The reason I got interested in boxing has become reality
In Manchester they showed a montage of film clips before he came on (his entrance was the best bit for me, I won't say anymore in case I spoil it, but for me it was really spine tingling hair on back of neck stuff).mimmy123 wrote:Im not familiar with this kind of thing, a show biz A lister doing a meet on stage. He was an hour late (stuck in traffic apparently - who would have thought the M6 would be busy on a Friday night?) and to fill in some time a shite singer sang a few songs whilst she was laughed at and abused - just the usual "get off, your shite" sort of stuff, harmless fun really.
Then a 5 piece American boy band type sang "2 kinds of love" - you know, like the blokes sang round the fire as Rocky carried Adrian home after they got married - that was good and really got things going.
After that he sits on a couch and his manager asks him questions - the usual stuff we have seen on tv interviews to be honest.
A bit of a pisser was that they kept showing clips of the Expendables in a blatant advertisement, which was out of order.
There is then a half hour slot where people with microphones go into the crowd so people can ask questions - this bit was shite as it was mainly pissed up blokes saying how they love him and pissed up women also saying how much they love him and asking for a kiss etc. one bloke proposed to his bird on stage which took up over 10 minutes of wasted time.
That was that. It was pissing down outside and I got ripped off in a car park - although to be fair I can't blame Sly for that.
