Geale Vs Fletcher
Geale Vs Fletcher
I assume Geale wins this slop fest? Saw Fletcher against Jacobs. He sucks.
Re: Geale Vs Fletcher
Soliman sucks too but he defeated Sturm. I do think Geale wins, but I give 20% chance to Fletcher.
Re: Geale Vs Fletcher
Whilst i never rated Geale like some do, he would really have to be shot to lose to Fletcher who is crap.

Slop fest?
I'm actually getting a bit sick of people saying that certain boxers suck, or that they are crap. If you're talking about an unskilled, unfit, uncoordinated guy with a losing record who only fights guys of a similar standard, then fair enough.
Fletcher is a decorated amateur who won Commonwealth gold in 2006, outpointing both James DeGale and Adonis Stevenson in the process. He currently has a professional record of 18-2, outpointed Max Bursak (who has beaten Brian Vera and was 29-1-1 at the time) has fought for a world title and is ranked #31 in the world by BoxRec out of 1260 middleweights. He has comfortably achieved more in boxing than 95% of boxers will ever achieve. If this is the standard you are applying for a boxers who 'sucks' then you are setting the bar extremely high!
Soliman was a level above Fletcher, but he is now 40 and was injured in his last fight where he gave a sub-par performance. He was never the most skilful boxer, but at his best he gave a prime Winky Wright all he could handle. His awkwardness, outstanding stamina and high punch output made him a handful for just about anyone at middleweight. Right now I think his best option is retirement.
I agree that Geale is better and should beat Fletcher, in fact I would give him a good chance of beating everyone at middleweight not named Golovkin.

Re: Geale Vs Fletcher
Geale won by decision.
Scores were 119-108, 119-108 and 119-108.
Fletcher was almost stopped a few times in the late rounds, but reportedly showed great heart to survive the distance.

Re: Geale Vs Fletcher
That's impressive and shows that Geale really is a class above Fletcher. I was actually expecting scorecards nearer 116-112, this is a really good result for Geale.
I can't see Fletcher getting another shot at a world title now, I think his options now are to stick with being an Aussie domestic level fighter, or become a journeyman or retire.
