I see his WKO2 result against Skipp Scott at Fantasy Springs, Indio was a note as below
"Scott down in rd 2; The CSAC reviewed an appeal to overturn the decision. While CSAC acknowledges that the referee erred, the Commission does not believe it changed the outcome of the bout. CSAC encourages all Commissions to review the video of the fight when considering matchmaking oversight."
Can anyone explain this? I never saw the fight, however a mention that the referee "erred" and then a mention of matchmaking oversight?? Sorry doesnt make sense to me thats all.
Question Re Gerald Washington
Re: Question Re Gerald Washington
The little open book on the far right of the result contains additional narrative.
My interpretation of the note is that it means something of the nature "Official record does not contain a DQ. However, commissions may want to review the video before deciding whether to approve further bouts featuring this dirty scumbag who chooses to hit downed fighters and maybe shouldn't have a license."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4-ECpXPz_U&t=7m57sBout result under appeal. Scott took a knee, and then got 'knocked out' by a body shot AFTER he was on the canvas. The fact Scott was already down was missed by referee Lou Moret, who nonetheless counted Skip Scott out. Complete YouTube Replay video of bout. [[1]]

Re: Question Re Gerald Washington
Would you have known the fighter was down if he's draped around your neck trying to pull you down to the ground?
